I’m sure we will see more animations make it in the game as new families are released, but I also think that it’s a lot of work and probably work that Charles has do to (doing that he can’t do something else - resource prioritization). Even with new animations incorporated into the game there are still a million animations that could be created to make the game even more real. It’s never going to be complete or perfect (just look at the Total War series and their army of animation creators, they have come a long way but far from perfect with unlimited resources in comparison to BF). I don’t think we will ever see bipod rested against a stone wall, or like the image above, on a fellow soldiers shoulder. I think it’s great that we got several different death poses but it’s not something that changes the game as AA able to fire at aircraft (just to mention one example). CM will get prettier and have more animations as we go along but in the end it’s a tactical combat simulation/game with its priorities elsewhere. As it should be IMO.

Make some tests and see if you can reproduce this often.. in that case it might be a bug. More likely its one of those rare occasions where no injury is inflicted. Remember that there is some abstraction in this game, and that there always will be. The results is not impossible after all..

This has been discussed at leangth.. numerous threads about it if you do a search. In short they where not, with some rare exceptions, used close to the actual fighting. They offered protect from shrapnel but not full protection from small arms.

EZ, I think they look great in either game.

Id love to see as few family releases as possible. Fewer executables, more options in game as well as less space required for the same mods. That said with more modules per family Id be more than willing to pay a higher price for a module having "family content" etc. Will have to wait and see what route BF takes but so far it looks like they are going for more families. And they have reasons to do so as well. But one can dream

Im sure the fiering is taken into account in some way when it comes to spotting, under the hood (as FOW is maintained by not showing the smoke. In earlier iterations of CMSF I remember flying around the map to see where dust was kicked up by ATGMs).

They deserve to though , especially when you throw in some extra decals just for good measure
