  1. This setting and resulting forces for both sides looks far and away more interesting than SF. Will have to learn a new game system. It might bridge the gap for modern lack of interest.
  2. FI wins it for me as best of the three, and I'm not that into Italy oddly enough. It is the maps, more rough, gritty and detailed. There are seemingly more terrain elements that further immerses me into the games. It is becoming harder to play a map with buildings and trees placed on top of what looks like grass carpet, with little to no other terrain details, as you will see with some Normandy maps. That is just my preference though. Normandy has some great, more detailed maps. And you get a wider range of tank variants that keeps me coming back to it as well.
  3. I'd be all over it and anything early war.
  4. Just my 2 cents. I like "Casualty" displayed as it gives just due to KIAs and how it will/can impact your force. Followed instructions you posted and inserted correct text in the "strings.text" file but it nullified Vin's mod completely. I'll keep trying to get it to work.
  5. Got the 3.0 upgrade and I'm delaying my CMRT time because I am having a ball with this great game. Throw in the mods, it is a win-win for me
  6. For larger battles more than a few tanks you can lose track of which ones or buttoned or not. A symbol on UI designating unbuttoned with just one click is more fluid less cumbersome.
  7. In December bought basically the same machine as OP. About a week later had a screen glitch, very thin horizontal white line blinking on/off. A tech came out and replaced the screen two weeks later. No problems since and cannot complain with the performance I've been getting as the machine runs the game flawlessly.
  8. When you try to drag your mouse (adjust camera) while watching a BN/RT video.
  9. JMO playing a buddy I would get the forces somewhat close and just have fun with it.
  10. Thanks! The maps continue to improve and immersion with it.
  11. About the best you could do for your units, and Rake mentioned this, is click unit ( go level 1) and use C-key (wide angle) view and use keys W,A,S,D and Q and E for angling the camera and move about the map. It is how I find more ideal locations without moving units too far into LOS of opposing units. Of course one neat thing about the method is unit is already selected and once you find optimum location you just plot type of movement.
  12. Thanks Oddball and Waclaw for the great sounds. One note is Waclaw's death screams can be so agonizing that I will leave that part of the battlefield to escape it
  13. These mod packs, how cool is that. Thank You.
  14. Whoa! Much appreciated sir, your Terrain mod will be the capper.
  15. Yes, I get a craving for red velvet cake
  16. Yes. I pared down Radzymin Master changed the attacker and deploy zones and twice the AI would not move from their deployment.
  17. It has a raw and bold, dare I say powerful, almost distorted vocality. Love it!
