  1. Check it out next time it happens.....I'm sure I've done it (with Ukrainians in CMBS the last time IIRC).
  2. In CMSF2/CMBS, I just assume you haven't taken their mobile phones yet.
  3. I seem to recall that you can sometimes click on another spotter, select the firing unit from their artillery tab, then click the 'go to spotting unit' tab and find that the 'ceasefire' option is still there (Even though the unit itself isn't! ).....I'll try to get screenies/save if the opportunity arises.
  4. Nice find, some uniquely Afghan war stuff in that one. This one has some good footage too, including what appears to be a Scud SRBM battery without missiles (32:48): Just wish it had subtitles too.
  5. @IanL@JohnO@Imperial Grunt Any new at all? Please? PS @BFCElvis You always seem to get stuff done.....Any chance?
  6. That seems a bit unfair, it's my understanding that ROE typically state that once a building has been identified as an enemy firing position it's fair game. There might be good reasons for still assigning Preserve VPs to a defended location (preservation of intelligence, religious structures etc. or to represent civilians still occupying the structures), I've done so myself.....But (as I was advised by the good @Combatintman many moons ago) the designer should go to great efforts to stress these factors in his briefing so that the player can make a reasonable judgement call (I blew up whole city blocks to see how many VPs it would cost! ).
  7. 'The Beast' is actually a Tiran-5 (it was a T-55 once, but then Israelis): https://tanknutdave.com/israeli-tiran-tank-series/
  8. Cheers fella, appreciate the heads up.....I'd like to take another look at some Mosul scenarios one day (especially if we ever get persistent map damage), but I already have too many things going on right now.
  9. I thought it might be a bug with the particular scenario (or perhaps map, or even core file) that I was working on.....I'm still messing around with a much larger CM:A project and so far I haven't encountered the same issues in testing. Not saying I won't have issues as the project progresses, but so far things have been OK.....Haven't touched it in a while, mostly been doing real world stuff, plus a few bits for Heaven & Earth.
  10. I know it works for IEDs (In CMSF obviously), you can get 'em inside buildings with a random plan.....Wonder if that would work for AP mines?
  11. Using whole extra units can make balancing things behind the scenes a lot easier.
  12. Blimey.....That's a new thing! How did you find that out (& what else does it work with we wonder)?
  13. Yup.....I'd love to see an infantry team advancing behind a Javelin or a Spike, using it for cover against small arms fire. From the western MIC.....No chance. Leopard 1 was probably as close as we've ever got. It amused me to see @Wicky post the Ontos in response to an earlier comment.....Look how well loved that (& The Scorpion) was by its crews.
  14. Really showing my age.....I'd forgotten about them completely.
  15. In some of my fiddlier stuff the player has almost that number of surplus units turn up post battle, just to give him access to the vehicles he was using (in Ashsh-al-Dababir there are 21)! See why I love balancing VPs so much!
  16. Likewise, no sign of it for me with Firefox, but I'll surely get a screenie if there is (now that I know about it).
  17. You could equally well argue that the naming is an outlier western/christian religious issue.
  18. "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Albert Einstein
  19. You can get some groovy stuff in 1/6 now.....IIRC there's a Stuart Tank!
  20. Oddly it was while doing exactly this that the USMC decided they needed tanks in the first place.
