The problem with that is that by 1944, the Soviets were able to train their troops better than in 41 or 42. Saying they should just be all set to conscript is a very broad and inaccurate generalization. Green and +1 morale would be a better representation for standard 1944 line infantry, with higher skill ratings for specialist troops like sniper teams.
Will the UI in CMRT feature more tooltip text than we currently have? I'm thinking of things like tooltip text for the rank insignia, which would certainly save me time having to find that sheet of paper where I printed off the rank insignia charts from the manuals.
True, though another reason the Germans liked the single 37mm better is that it had a better effective range than the 20mm gun, in whatever form it was used.
Actually, the provision for the tail gunner started showing up in the spring of 1942 via field modifications.

What about animated bolts on rifles, MGs, and SMGs? Right now, all of the "animations" for automatic weapons fire, a soldier cycling the bolt on his rifle, etc., don't include the actual visual effect of the bolt (and bolt handle) moving.
And I can counter that by saying that WEGO TCP/IP will be a very enjoyable feature, and finally dispensing with having to see knocked-out vehicles with nary a shell hole in them is a very good thing. Graphics do matter in this age of computer technology.
If there's still time, I'd like to see the bolt handle fixed on the K98k model. Right now it's modeled as a straight bolt handle (like on the Vz.24) instead of being turned down at a ~90-degree angle.
Fine, but yes, rifle and SMG ammo really, really needs to be available in consistent 100-round increments. Some of the available ammo amounts - as womble alluded to - are patently ridiculous right now.
