  1. Same here I'd pay $75 to update CMSF to 3.0. Its good now it would be fantastic especially with the modules.
  2. Excellent book and the best account of the battle between "Fireball" and the Tiger I.
  3. The Ardennes by Hugh Cole is an excellent book. Its a US Army Green Book so its very detailed and somewhat dry reading. Snow And Steel I got last year and its one of the best books on the subject I have a great book. Both of these are very large so they take some time to read.
  4. Operation Spring Awakening with some heavy metal.
  5. Unfortunately reloading anything has risks. If a case ruptures in a rifle or handgun most times if you're wearing protection the injuries are minimal. In this case the same result is deadly. I don't know exactly what happened but its a shame.
  6. Or give the morons who like to shine laser pointers into commercial a/c cockpits the job.
  7. In the case of the IS-2 I'm guessing if the TC is unbuttoned and the gunner is engaging targets in the front the rear mg will not fire correct? I assume it is operated by the TC when the tank is buttoned.
  8. Interesting. I guess it depends on how much of a threat the AI thinks the rear targets are. Though I would like to be able to target with the rear coax and not have the turret rotate. Nice to see BFC got this detail right. I can't wait to see some unsuspecting troops sneaking up with a PF get zapped! Not sure about the US vehicles with rear facing AAMG. I'm going to have to try it.
  9. Thanks! I gotta try it out next time. Nasty surprise.
  10. Does anyone know if the rear turret coax works? For example on the IS-2. I haven't used these tanks much but I've never seen it fire. Anyone seen this?
  11. In the Operational History Of The Jagdtiger book by Andrew Devey 653 did not make it in time to be useful in combat. One train of Jagdtigers was unloaded and went into to woods near the Eiffel area but was not given further orders and Hitler decided to use them in Nordwind. That being said, the author has 3 reports listed of accounts with Jagdtigers in the Ardennes. Report 1 is claimed as a misidentification with a JgPz IV in Bures on 3&4 January 1945. Report 2 was a civilian report from Maldingen west of St. Vith. This is also very suspect. Report 3 was from Colonel George Forty claiming there was a knocked out Jagdtiger in the Ardennes in 1945. He couldn't remember the location and it might have been in the Alsace. I also have the Combat History of 653 book and I'm more inclinedto believe the unit history. Its very interesting but I'm glad they included it just in case!
  12. I thought that myself. Though there seems to be some uncertainty about it. From what I've read they were to be transported to the front but didn't make it in time and that's why they appeared in Nordwind.
  13. Those Jagdtigers got hit a hundred times and were still taking out tanks! Looks great and the vehicles are incredible. Thanks Chris!
  14. I reserved it. I'd hate to not get it and try to find it later. The price will be insane. I bought Bloody Streets about 6yrs ago for $60. Go price it now!
  15. Battle of Mogadishu is another. They underestimated the enemy and we know how that turned out.
  16. Not having been in combat I can imagine that not knowing where the fire is coming from is probably what causes even brave soldiers to cower. At least when you know what you're facing you have some control, the unknown is very unsettling. Nothing worse than thinking a bullet may come from behind or to the side of you. Just read some accounts of soldiers in Vietnam. I'm surprised a lot more of these guys didn't lose their mind thinking "where are they?"
  17. Also I have the Konigstiger book by Trojca. Just amazing. Just what we need for RT!
