  1. Exit areas and their use is decided by the scenario designer, but the option is there if in the mind of the scenario designer they are appropriate.
  2. Typically you will get lots of chatter, but nothing real until BFC is ready to chime in. Depending on how far out this big stuff is that could be a really long thread of: anything yet? nope anything yet? well I heard maybe that they might... nope anything yet nope
  3. Wouldn't that have caused an inevitable strain on the supply chain. Couldn't they standardize on rock size... oh wait that may actually have caused a delay in production...these logistics issues are a nightmare.
  4. I just show my spouse the PENG thread, after that she has been perfectly fine with me just playing the game.
  5. ha, just hang your coat over there and slide up to the bar with the rest of us.
  6. While the Battle of Britain had a huge morale impact and hashed a bit of the luftwaffe, I am not sure it's loss would have meant Sealion necessarily being a success. Considering what it took to launch Normandy, I can't see Germany in 1940 pulling it off.
  7. Yeah I was there at the time they began debating closing it. Personally as much as I liked checking out the auctions, I'd prefer they close it. I prefer my sushi without the side of spit or cig butts. Tsukiji may be the biggest, but all the fishing towns have some great fish markets. And deep frying fish? Geez the Brits really don't know how to eat do they?
  8. I believe that was during the depression during the great fish and chips scandal.
  9. I pay far more for cable TV and get almost nothing for it.....
  10. My spouse is Japanese as well, but living in the US. When we go doing the family visits that is some of the best eating I get. Japan has the best all around eating anywhere I have been. They'll probably be the first place to make an authentic Phila Cheesesteak You're a lucky guy. You aren't anywhere near Tsukiji are you? I worked for a company that had an office across the street from the market. Talk about spoiled.
  11. In my case neither of those Shermans knew what hit them until..well it hit them. The first apparently never got the opportunity to communicate it via radio net so the 2nd stayed broadside to it. First shot immobilized it and only then did it attempt to locate the JPz - too late. It was at that moment that I really fell for this game. CMx1 would never have allowed that.
  12. man oh man are we ever a funny bunch CMx1 was fun (is fun for those still playing it, which are many) CMx2 is fun different games, all depends on what you are looking for. I still love chess, but it ain't CM and yes it is a lively forum. I don't however understand the RTS clickfest comment. I don't do RTS and CMx2 in all it's variations (CMSF, CMBN etc) is by far my favorite game.
  13. seriously check for system damage, is the weapons system even available? I have seen that where everything at first looks okay and then you see weapons systems are out so now it is just a big hunk of moving metal.
  14. If you can't fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical issue. :-P
  15. Tell that to the two Shermans my Jpz IV took out in a single turn. heh heh
  16. the same button is used for both I believe (without being able to look) it is under special commands -open up. If highlighted it is in effect. If not highlighted, your unit should button up.
  17. Not sure if from "hum" you are seeing something you like or not, but that is an awfully sweet looking shot.
  18. Union rules, it clearly states in paragraph 4 of the amended contact for 4 man vehicle types. "In the event the loader gets it" Loader rep - I object to that phrasing - how about the loader is temporairily unable to perform his roles? Gunner rep - "But what if it isn't temporary, he isn't likely to suddenly get back to work with his bleedin head blown off now is he" Loader rep- "yes yes but we can't assume in all cases his head would be blown off now could we?" Gunner rep- "quite right, okay then how about we leave it that the loader rep is simply unable to perform" Loader rep - "No no, absolutley not, that seems like a recipe for creating a redundancy in position!" Driver rep- "Aww just get on with it or my boys are just gonna back the heck out of there!"
  19. At least you didn't say it was for testing your scenario....and that it was German vs the AI.
  20. Depends I guess on who is saying it. A German soldier might pronounce Stoog as in Flug. Just coming to mind as I have been traveling through German airports lately.
  21. I don't but then again I am not making suggestions on what to do with the game engine without knowing how they would interact either. Puts us about in the same situation- we don't know.... However I am using AT guns now and fairly effectively. At least when I don't put em in the dang wide open w/o realizing it - (no I haven't forgotten that set up in Bois de Baugin vKleist)
  22. That would require a completely different set of models, action etc etc. Not that it is impossible, but it is not a simple request and then we'd probably still complain as without deformation they'd still look odd. You pixeltruppen would be cut off and not sure how that would look when modelling them.
