I just added a second terabyte drive to the PC I built when CMBN was first announced and every week my "production" hard drive is backed up automatically. I also ordered the steelbook, yeah I am a bit anal about making sure of multiple backups. :-P The flashdrive option though is the one I'd go with. Convenient, small and less prone to physical damage.

Don't sweat it. There are at least as many opinions on here as there are forum members (probably more for us schizoid types). All the work you guys do is really appreciated, just not everything is everyone's cup of tea. I'd prefer folks be a little more considerate of time and effort spent and perhaps a little less caustic but the flip side is I am betting para was really looking forward to seeing 6th Airborne scenarios and the disappointment probably runs deep - heck with a handle like "para" what did you expect? LOL It's all good just chalk it up to excitement about the release.

I think it is more special uniforms (which ties in a lot of graphical items) and special ToE. tactics is all us for better or worse. In reading Lions of Carentan even it spent far more time talking about the fall of 1944 over Normandy despite the title. Figure it this way BFC has decided to get all the material for the NW European front from June to October/November they just had to split the sheer volume of material into 3 separate releases. They broke it down in such a way that the FJ are in the third release. I wouldn't look for any more reasoning than that, it'll just distract you from game time.

Honestly not sure if it is frowned upon as long as we are all civil to one another. That usually seems to be the place that the moderator has to step in. And for what it's worth I agree with you also.

You are using reverse on a Tiger? Don't you know that retreat is forbidden? +1 on all that. I moved my mods and saved games to another folder. The download was fast, the install was flawless and putting my mods back in so far has been painless (I didn't have Vin's mod). Haven't had a lot of time yet to tinker with it, but bunkers are working and from what I hear large maps are much more usable. Lots of maps, couple new campaigns what's not to love? Thank you once again BFC. It is going to take me forever to catch up on all this material.

Especially coming from the 4th Armored Division which absolutely trashed German armor in Lorraine.

You won't - heuristic just involes how the virus protection program looks at files to try and determine if they are infected. What it will typically do is then quarantine them. What you would need to look for is where quarantined files are stored in your program and then in that location you should be given options on what to do with them (delete, restore etc). What would be best is if you can flag it to accept anything for the CM programs, then you don't run into this again.

Just lots of opinions. I had the same issues with AVG regarding CMSF and got used to how to correct it. MSE hasn't spit up a hairball on CM yet and it is also free, but I don't have to go through the sales pitch from AVG everytime I need to update.

I ditched AVG for MSE. Seems to run a lot better for me and less hassle.

Had this happen my first game. A German team had gotten split up at a hedgerow gap. The one guy on the opposite side didn't want to surrender, but his sqaud mates did. unfortunately they were on my side so they took the brunt of all the fire. When I first noticed it I was a bit freaked. Once I'd realized what was happening I felt a little better, but it was still kind of brutal.

Just a double take surprise, none of my business anyway.

Very cool AKD, just confirmed no issues exiting bunkers using the same tests I ran previously. Only odd item is the sound mod... I had 15 teams all exiting and once and all I could hear is "About time! DO NOT GO IN THERE!". Seems not exiting also precluded going to the latrines...

go back to the email of your preorder, click that to take you to 'view your order" click the CM-CW module and it will take you to the download page and automatically populate your elicense. Copy that license as you will need it to activate. Press download, open beer.... Incidentally, this time around they do not appear to be overwhelmed at the server end. My download and install went very quick, no hiccups experienced. Good job BFC!!

I play both, but prefer HTH. There is just no way at present for the AI to react well if you can get in on it's flank whereas a human player would be able to react as the situation develops. That being said, for the HTH players all you really need do is release the scenario before you build the AI plans. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to tweak it for us, we can already edit it with agreed upon changes if we want. The AI portion though is all yours.
