  1. May want to add some javelins to the inventory. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-france-libya-missiles-idUSKCN1U50Q5
  2. During the march to Baghdad 1st recon ran across a bunch of Iraqis wandering north from Basra heading home. They were in pretty dismal shape. Initially the unit started accepting their surrender. Problem was the unit had no way to deal with them and according to the Geneva convention once you accept a surrender you are obligated to provide a certain amount of support. So they “unsurrendered” them and told em to head back to Basra. This according to the embedded reporter. I am 99% sure the invisible MPs then escorted them to Basra. Personally it it would be kind of cool if you could turn on or off the surrendering mode, then you could do certain type scenarios but honestly I’d have it turned off most of the time and use the current format.
  3. CMSF2! Hands down. More content right off the bat.
  4. Have you been talking to my managers at work?!
  5. splitting the gamer version and the engine has helped On opening cmbs you see it is game version 2.12 meaning it has a module and been patched twice. the game engine shows as version 4. still not my ideal as the patches are to the engine, but show up against the game. in my view it would be game version 2.1 and game engine version 4.02. just my 2 cents
  6. my buddy was having issues with his work calendar not grabbing his attention. He now has the star trek emergency alert. Freakin annoying when you're on a call with him and he has another meeting coming up.
  7. I did, not sure what you are trying to say though. In CMBN of example all BP scenarios start with BP1, Commonwealth with CW, Market Garden with MG. Again only the base game isn't. What does "It's never too late" mean in this context? Is it a suggestion to add BN in front of the base game scenarios or are you suggesting it to designers of new scenarios?
  8. True, just more experienced. I am now 18 with 42 years experience.
  9. a little bit, I am looking forward to retirement.
  10. well smack me silly and call me old! damn that wasn't even a year ago.
  11. I have actually had a few war crimes. Situations where one guy is surrendering and someone around them isn't so they both get gunned down, guys who start to "unsurrender" etc. Fun stuff when you watch at ground level.
  12. I don't believe it was ever part of CMSF1, just the CMSF1 demo. There was never a CMSF2 demo. As such it wasn't included in CMSF2 either. It can however still be run and seems like it is available from Erwin's compendium. How's that for a big word? I have the best words..... Caveat is I have altered my game files so much I can't reliably say what was or wasn't in original sale anymore. I probably have 8 different version of Circle the Wagons now.
  13. Well now is a relative term. You will be able to delete them when the next patch is released.
  14. It's kind of... small....are your hands small?
  15. Did you dress her up as a witch... no! Well maybe a little.
  16. And there are buildings and then there are buildings yeah missed that it had switched, I was looking at Ian’s post which was still discussing bunkers.
  17. This is on probably several wish lists. The ability to cross attach formations and maintain a c&c structure. As it is all formations are distinct and there isn’t an overarching commander. You can have 3 battalions but they are 3 independent battalions, not a regiment and you get no colonel to command.
  18. That would be important if that was what the post was about. What he is asking about though is penetration of a bunker. If I am in a concrete bunker is it likely an 81mm mortar will penetrate? I don’t know the answer to that and I am also not 100% sure what the concrete bunker is supposed to represent. It isn’t an Atlantic Wall 240mm gun emplacement. It is also not the shabby cinder block retaining wall in my backyard. As Ian noted above there is a new ticket submitted for it that hopefully resolves this.
  19. I recall one of those Critical Hit ASL packs having a feature on the German 2nd Marine Division. They have an ATS module Across the Aller also featuring the fighting between the 2nd Marines and the British 11th Armoured. These however are not the Kriegsmarine as represented in MG. A little note on this forum from 2013-
  20. what the hell, was he attacked by Zorro?
