  1. You can place bridges over land and create underpasses that can be used by infantry and vehicles. The above might pose problems because of the sharp cliffs coming together in a vee at the bottom, but then it looks like an awfully tight fit in general. Main problem with underpasses is that most bridges have a supporting column in the center, so it looks odd when infantry go under and walk right through the column. I also still occasionally see a vehicle pop over the top. A mistake a lot of people are making with bridge movement in general is placing waypoints on the bridge rather than on both sides. This confuses the AI.
  2. Yes. "Adjust mission" is not for making corrections.
  3. Engineers will not blast through the 3D terrain mesh, only linear obstacles placed on top of the terrain (like walls, bocage, fences, etc.), building walls and some fortifications.
  4. Yes, you can only "area target" ground level action spots with "target smoke", so no direct targeting of vehicles, bunkers, or building floors. Also, WP incorrectly behaves as a "base-ejecting" smoke round, so even if you hit a tank, bunker, etc., the round will just bounce off (possibly landing quite a distance away) before coming to a rest and slowly building up smoke. WP should explode on impact.
  5. AT Guns would be in the same situation with CMSF-style trenches. What is required is a crew-served weapon specific FOW fortification, like a gun pit.
  6. Personnel uses time fuzes to attempt to achieve air bursts over the target. Some rounds will air burst at optimum height, some too high, and some will still impact the ground. Otherwise it is identical to General.
  7. Lack of binoculars is a small TO&E bug. Weapons Company is also missing them. My first thought on the radio operators is that the Inf Co. HQ would have two radios: an SCR-300 for comms to battalion and an SCR-536* for comms to platoons, but then so would the Weapons Company and that HQ only has one radio op, so not sure if this is a TO&E bug or not. *note there is no 3D model for the SCR-536 in the game, so platoons still appear to have SCR-300s.
  8. "Adjust mission" is not meant to be used by the player during spotting; it is there to switch to an entirely new target without having to start the call for fire over from scratch. Observation and correction of spotting rounds is handled automatically between the spotter and the firing unit, assuming that the spotter can see the spotting round impacts (if not there is nothing you can do but cancel the mission).
  9. Pre-planned missions should be on target (dispersion might fall off target, but they should not be trying to attack a different target area than selected). A mission following spotting rounds that land on target should also stay on target, if the spotter can clearly see point of impact of the spotting rounds and is not suppressed, hiding, etc.
  10. Yes, the Panzergrenadier Battalion [armored] and the Armored Infantry Battalion available when Quick Battles are set to "Infantry" only are dismounted versions of the same units available under "Mech Infantry." You can't purchase a unit with armored vehicles and then dismount them if the QB restriction is set to "Infantry" only, so this is a way around this restriction.
  11. Most likely there is a break in the mortars' chain of command.
  12. Well, this is the "Disneyland version" of WWII, so the Germans have to lose, right?
  13. If a single "land" tile is surrounded by deep ford along all or most edges, water will flood the tile leaving only the doodads exposed. This can be exploited to create very large flooded field/marsh grass areas: No need to monkey with the elevations of the tiles within the body of water, although it may be best to "fix" the elevation of the water tiles that directly border the edge of the wetlands area you are creating.
  14. 40m is just out of engagement range for the Panzerfaust 30.
  15. Sounds like a bug, since they should be in contact due to simple proximity. Do you have a save? If so, PM me and I will give you my e-mail address to send it.
  16. Are you basing this on the red Xs in the command chain display or on the absence of c2 link icons (mouth and/or eye icon) on a selected mortar?
  17. Can you post a screenshot with the "out of contact" mortar selected?
  18. Quick battle only option for the "infantry" setting. Should probably say dismounted PGs.
  19. If the next CM game published does not download with a Kindle manual, I will refuse to buy!!!
  20. Then you wouldn't be able to target something beneath trees/foliage on the other end. Better to use simple logic and not put artillery underneath trees.
