It's definately possible... as we've got CMFI roof textures to show by simple renaming.
Sarge uses them for his Colonial buildings, I've also used them in the cities.
Additionally, the 'Chimneyless huts' you've been seeing for a few months just use alpha channels (& a few other bits & bobs) on top of those roof textures... at the time they were made we weren't even considering the blender techniques.
The strangest oddity we have with the roof swapping is the bizarre "generic roof damage texture" issue which me & the Sarge mentioned here.

Panzer IIIG and IIIM mods
I think the vanilla Panzer III´s look very nice - well in fact a bit too nice. So I gave them a bit of dust and camo.
There are three different camo schemes to chose from: Place the folder with your favorite in your mods folder - and leave the other two.
Here´s a Dropbox link for the mods. I´ll remove the folder from Dropbox, when the mods have been released on Cmmods IV.

One of my ongoing side projects (aimed at the new influx of Steam Players) is to host an 'All in One' for every CM game here... I suspect my initial CMRT pack will be "ready" in a few days.

Well the original SS mods actually changed normal Heer troops in RT... so they needed to be renamed to work on the newly available SS troops. I
Aris's vehicles came with a load of decal options which, unfortunately, have to be "pruned" or else they will interfere with the snow & whitewash textures (this was an issue noted by @kohlenklau when he first made a [snow] tag for RT*).
For terrain, I've gone with @SeinfeldRules various seasonal terrains but they too needed tweaking (conflicts with ramblers tree mods & Xtall Yellow grass doodads took me awhile to figure out).
It also too me awhile to figure out how to activate different sounds, backgrounds ( @umlaut's ruined cityscape) & terrain for fighting in Berlin.
*I've also changed all those Winter mod scenarios to an appropriate time of year.

Ditto... it was my Birthday present too (40th)!
I'm still in the process of renaming or pruning the various RT* mods (by the likes of @EZ , @Tashtego , @kohlenklau, @umlaut & @Aristoteles ) so that they work with F&R... so I've barely played the game itself.
But I will... soon.
*Or merging them with FB mods

I'm finally almost convinced that I've finished my first three campaign maps to my satisfaction.....Next time I'll choose something with a bit less jungle (probably a city knowing me).

But it is starting to come together, giving me the densely packed urban feel I'm after, while also managing not to look like another variant of Ramadi:

Okay, the CMSF2-Afghanistan 'All in One' is now ready for release.
The modpack itself is a further refinement of the 'initial beta' released back in April & is, at its most basic, a merger between CMA & @Zveroboy1's SF2 Afghanistan work.
Changes mostly involve further tweaks of the CMA terrain to better fit with CMSF2, @Mord's original CMA & CMSF portraits as well as various ISIF tags have been added to the UI, the Soundscape is being upgraded to v1.6 (thanks to @waclaw's HQS 4.0), the uniform mix has been altered, (@Oleksandr's uniforms are now the ones often activated by the [mountains] tag), bridges & highways have been tweaked, @Pete Wenman's rural stone walls have been added & a new lowlands background is being used (sourced with the help of @Erwin).
The marsh to water & rudimentary dutch ANA mods have been deleted as they're no longer needed & @Zveroboy1's green ANP pick-ups are now activated by tag [anppu].
In terms of content, I've collated all CMSF & CMSF2 Afghanistan scenarios & campaigns I could find (including a few french ones, now translated, thanks to help by @CMFDR).
The SF2 stuff, by @Zveroboy1 & @puje, has been left almost entirely untouched however the CMSF scenarios & campaigns (including @dragonwynn's 'Heart of Darkness') have all been given a lick of paint... mostly by the simple method of swapping marsh into water tiles.
I've also converted the eight CMA quick battle maps by @Stagler for use with CMSF2 & the 'All in One'.
In total, there's two campaigns (19 scenarios between them), 37 single scenarios* & the 8 quick battle maps.
I was hoping to make some original stuff this year but that'll have to wait for another time.
Anyhow, here's the download link (I advise adding the modpack to an empty mod folder only)...
