    Playing the 'Joint Venture' scenario by @afreu alongside the "All in One"...
    ... I originally thought this was a scenario by @Combatintman however a google search made me aware of my error (they have a very similiar briefing style though).
    It was great fun, a really brutal scenario.
    I am slowly implementing a "rudimentary vehicle weathering" technique for the CMSF2 vehicles... so you can expect an eventual update to the pack later this year.

    Someone posted some great artwork in the "How hot is Ukraine gonna get"-thread and I decided to make a menu mod from one.

    Not in line with the game timeline, but I've seen some "Z"-mods around so maybe not that wrong after all. In the spirit of "Glory to Ukraine".

    I've not had that issue but every once in awhile my cursor disappears (this seems to be somewhat more common whilst playing at higher resolutions)... I press the windows key, then click back to the game & that resolves the issue.
    However "half the time" sounds like a bigger issue.

    I have a "Chora inspired" map* which I intend to box off at some point this year, I think @Hapless might be working on one too.

    I'm very interested in folks experiences with Radeon GPUs, Windows, and CM. There seems to indeed (and based on searching these forums that appears to be the consensus) be a loading issue.
    As an interesting data point that it could be AMD Radeon Driver related I offer this data point:
    CM Red Thunder - Gog and Magog
    MacOS: 15.37 seconds  Windows 10: 185.15 seconds That is a crazy 12x or 1200% faster performance.
    No Mods, all settings identical (Display 1280 x 960 (because MacBook has different display this is the best way to standardize), Vert Sync OFF, 3D Quality BEST, 3D Texture BEST, Antialias ON, Tree Detail HIGH, Shader ON)
    These computers are surprisingly similar, so I think it is 80% a software issue. I recognize Apple does special hardware optimization, but given these are both Intel w/ Radeon systems hardware alone cannot explain these differences.
    Additionally Apple writes their own drivers for MacOS, and they have even deprecated OpenGL (Battlefront please make sure you're ready for Metal/Vulkan.). So again seems like the Radeon driver on Windows 10 or how CM calls the driver is creating serious overhead.

    Okay, the CMSF2-Afghanistan 'All in One' is now ready for release.
    The modpack itself is a further refinement of the 'initial beta' released back in April & is, at its most basic, a merger between CMA & @Zveroboy1's SF2 Afghanistan work.
    Changes mostly involve further tweaks of the CMA terrain to better fit with CMSF2, @Mord's original CMA & CMSF portraits as well as various ISIF tags have been added to the UI, the Soundscape is being upgraded to v1.6 (thanks to @waclaw's HQS 4.0), the uniform mix has been altered, (@Oleksandr's uniforms are now the ones often activated by the [mountains] tag), bridges & highways have been tweaked, @Pete Wenman's rural stone walls have been added & a new lowlands background is being used (sourced with the help of @Erwin).
    The marsh to water & rudimentary dutch ANA mods have been deleted as they're no longer needed & @Zveroboy1's green ANP pick-ups are now activated by tag [anppu].
     
    In terms of content, I've collated all CMSF & CMSF2 Afghanistan scenarios & campaigns I could find (including a few french ones, now translated, thanks to help by @CMFDR).
    The SF2 stuff, by @Zveroboy1 & @puje, has been left almost entirely untouched however the CMSF scenarios & campaigns (including @dragonwynn's 'Heart of Darkness') have all been given a lick of paint... mostly by the simple method of swapping marsh into water tiles.
    I've also converted the eight CMA quick battle maps by @Stagler for use with CMSF2 & the 'All in One'.
    In total, there's two campaigns (19 scenarios between them), 37 single scenarios* & the 8 quick battle maps.
    I was hoping to make some original stuff this year but that'll have to wait for another time.
    Anyhow, here's the download link (I advise adding the modpack to an empty mod folder only)...

    If these lockdowns ever end & my work schedule returns to normal the 'People's Beta' should be quickly wrapped up... AFTER that I'll undoubtedly need a break from SE Asia & Afghanistan is looking a good bet for a quick conversion package for CMSF2.
    I've become fairly adept at converting CMA scenario's (& even small campaigns) into CMSF2 as I find the mountainous terrain & (essentially) Red vs Red battles very useful to me... this week I've converted two more scenarios from @Fredrock1957's "Major Nosov's Brigade" for instance.
    I'd probably like to hook up with (at the very least) @Zveroboy1 & yourself for such a project... there'd be far fewer tags that's for sure (Lowlands, Mountains, Snow & something to activate the 1980's* would be the primary tags & virtually all that work has already been done).
    As for the Soviets, although their uniforms could be easily represented by an era specific tag, the voices would indeed be an issue.
    For single player scenarios & campaigns, a voice tag a bit like our H&E [rvnaf] tag could be used to add flavour for the appropriate side (with regards FO voices & aircraft voices) however we would either need to make a "generic voice mod" (laughing, whistling, screams, equipment sounds etc) for the 80's OR we could just pretend that the Soviets merely provided air & arty support for a very well equipped DRA.
     
    *The modern era would turn the Syrians into ANA, the 80's tag would turn the various Syrian branches into DRA & Soviet forces.

    Play as Axis vs Allied AI. I want to eventually, soon, make a version for play as allies vs axis AI.

    AFRIKA LUIGI ASSAULTS PIERRE
    It is just after sunrise on another hazy summer day in the Libyan desert. The wind is light from the north. You are just east of the Free French lines at Bir Hakeim. Several mechanized attacks have failed to breach the enemy line. It is now your turn...
    You are Tenente Enrico Fossatoro of the Guastatori attached to the Pavia Infantry Division. Your assault engineer platoon was ordered to conduct a night infiltration to penetrate into the French perimeter. 1 breach team has made it through the outer wire, through the anti-tank mines and is now just inside the inner wire right near a French trench.
    The French are well dug in. They have good noise discipline and have mostly held their fire to conserve ammunition. They have at least 1 light machine gun and several submachineguns. 
    Achieve Points by reaching several hidden touch objectives along the enemy's main line and by destroying enemy units. Clear out the enemy positions and defend against any French counterattack. If you can keep below 10% casualties for your own side, you get a parameter bonus. You have 20 minutes to achieve your mission.

    Mods by me and pitbull aka @boygarvin and @Falaise and maybe others I forgot, you know stuff from 2015.
    Modtagged stuff: new icons for Italy, sunhelmet Blender mod, pitbull gorgeous uniforms, Falaise and my team effort for ranks for Free French, a couple new road tiles to try and show tread tracks in the desert, mdr shenanigans, tons of moddy goodness.
    And "only in z when you actually need it": a separate folder with force choice Italian flag, Italian war song music intro. I think that is it. Optional stuff but flavorful.

    Good job on the scenario(s)!
    I did quickly rustle up an untagged winter mod for CMBS (using textures from CMCW & @SeinfeldRules), so you can immediately give a more wintery feel to your scenario if desired*...


    It might be an idea for conent creators to start adding a suitable tag to their scenarios to help differentiate between the 2017 hypothetical conflict & the 2022 real one.
     
    *The CMBS scenario editor is suprisingly flexible for a summer game... temps can be dropped down to freezing.
