  1. Yeah... no kidding, awesome maps. when can we dowlnload? Also I have a question, The Mods we have previously loaded, do they work with CMBN CW, or do we need all new mods, I honestly have not played since I got my new CW cd?
  2. Yeah they look great... defenitely going to get this one! Thanks for posting, they look really good.
  3. Awesome, they look great, any chance of doing some randoms.. like dot Panzerwrap top and black Panzer trousers?
  4. Answer to #1... I beleive by just buying OFFBOARD artillery units. Answer to #2... you cant purchase more ammo, you can get more trucks, they hold ammo, there is a tab, scroll down sorta that you can use to scale how much ammo the unit has.. this goes for all ammo carrying units from infantry to tanks. Answer to #3.... you can laydown prep fire, i believe even without a spotter. just use your artillery units in the prep phase and target the area where you want them to fire, you still need a HQ unit to call it in though. Also you can load any scenerio you want and edit it... just before you go editing and deleting things from someone's scenerio it is always best to resave it with a different name, so you do not ruin the original.
  5. I think what he meant was in the failure to take Alexandria, Egypt in 1941, was a failure to bring Turkey into the war and attack Soviet union from its southern borders. But for me... the real battle was for Moscow... in taking Moscow you take Leningrad.. releasing the entire Army Nord... as possible reserves. Failing to take Moscow was the ultimate failure.
  6. I like this mod too, however I do not see any with Helmet covers? Im using a laptop right now and cant really see the helmets that good. 12thss were all issued camo helmet covers. I have been in reenactment groups with the 12thss in PNWHG, and sworn we discussed this. Most of the pictuers shows them with Helmet covers or the very least their stalhelms with the SS sigrunes on one side. But Im pretty sure at least all of the combat Battalions were issued Camo helmet covers. anyways the DOT pattern looks great. Again its hard to tell but the Italian camo pattern is difficult to see. The green was really a bluishgreen color, with a yellowish green, and a dark redish brown... the picture sorta makes the colors blend the same??? its hard to distinguish the actual Italian camo pattern apart from it being a different pattern then the dot... they should clearly be different IMHO. Anyways I understand its hard to be exact especially dealing with persons like myself when it comes to uniforms. Anyways if I had a suggestion it would be to actaully look at the Italian camo next to the Dot pattern. By the way the Italian camo pattern was still pretty rare, but was issued as most everyone knows to the 12th SS. due to shortages of the 44 dot.
  7. Say Coon, Nice helmets. I have downloaded them. I just wanted to say that it was most common that the Waffen SS had at the very least the Sig Runes, however Im sure you can find pictures with both, it will just be more common to see, and this is what we are after... "Combat Units" with the Sig runes on one side, or they would be wearing the Helmet cover. By the way do the units still have the Helmet covers or does this mod completely remove them? Cheers.
  8. I agree with this. Had the BEF and othere forces been captured, and dunkirk failed I dont beleive the Commonwealth forces in Egypt would have withstood any axis attacks. the UK would have maintained a strong home defense with its Navy and Royal Airforce, but it would have made Italy possibly dominant in the south with possibly little help from Germany. Also I think the biggest mistake was the encirclement around I beleive Kiev in 1941. Germany should have pressed on to Moscow without delay. this would have cut off Leningrad, the major rail Moscow hub station, and industrial works. Having taken Moscow, I beleive Finland would have been more aggressive and supportive, and quit possibly the Turks may have gotten involvled seeing the Russian Capital taken... thats alot of what if's, but I do believe Britian and France would have sued for peace had the BEF been completely anhialated or taken as POW's, France fell I think a week later, after Dunkirk... The US seeing the capitulation of UK and France would have done what???? not sure, they were still isolationists sorta until the actual Pear harbor attack, but new they would be drawn into conflict sooner then later, most likely with Japan.
  9. The helmets look good, but some of the decals I have seen posted are way too big. As a reenactor maybe I am just picky, but the scale of the decals should be a tad smaller... and most of the waffen ss units that did not wear their helmet covers only had the SS sig runes decal. I emphasize most did not have the swastika. Anyways it would be cool to see a mix with the waffen SS helmets with helmet covers and without. thanks for all the modders.
  10. Awesome... I believe the battles for Villers bocage would be more authentic with the proper tactical markings.
  11. Awesome... I want to download your 11th Armd... and find the Desert Rats... as well..7th Armd. Awesome work.
  12. I know this was initially a King Tiger thread, and we pretty much in general got to talking about most of the vehicles in CW. Anyways my question.. or response in regards to the Pz II Lynx, was that by Normandy, I thought that since only around 160 or so were built altogether, and that around 120 found there way to Normandy, in German HEER divisions such as Pz Lehr, 21st Panzer, 116th Pz Divisions, along with some of the new sdkf.z 234/2 Puma.
  13. When I installed my CMBCW... the manual came as a PDF. I have it on my desktop. CHeers!
  14. The Chateau is very easy to miss if you only drive on the main Road. As you start there are two Barn structures on the road... the Chateau is down the dirt road to your leftside of the main road. The East exit.. is the dirt road leading off the map edge. I always make habbit for some reason to seize all building's in my area.. Maybe its a Marine thing.. not sure.. Be carefull they have a nasty ATG than can defenitely damage your panthers at close range. HINT: As time is not really a factor.. depending on how you have your forces divided etc... you can take the Chateau with about a platoon of men.. with some support depending how you attack it. obviously in defending a large structure they will have LMG, and possiby AT weapons..I kinda like to think of the Chateau as a major administrative complex for the US. with key communications etc. I used a Company on SPW... one was taken out with ATG.. bad.. so I flanked the entire complex and hit it from the far left side, saving my armor.
  15. ***SPOILER**** The Cheateau and East road are right next to each other. When begining all you have to do is head down the dirt road to a large complex... wooden fences, bocage the ususal.. There is a small road that exits near that complex. HINT... if you take the main road.. watch out for the ATG... Wont tell you where its at.. but its in the most logical and predictible place.
  16. I tried to find exact Units who used them.. but that got confusing... LOL I beleive there were less then 120 around the time of Normandy Landings, however I thought Pz Lehr and 21st Panzer had some of these bad boys.. and the 116th Pz Div... not sure on the last.
  17. Thanks Frankster! awesome shots. Just wanted to say to those that think some of us are just nit pick crazy... LOL well like someone else said before me... most of us here are WWII Historians, enthusaists, reenactors and such... So Details do mean alot, sure sometimes our demands are crazy but its only because we want the best, and I have to say the entire Battlefront team does a pretty damg good job of making most everyone happy. So again.. my hats off to the BF team... Semper Fi.
  18. Thanks for Posting those Pictures... the Field dress looks good. Heer Splinter, Although I thought it looks a little too green, but then I looked at some authentic pictures... and they were in fact pretty green, between Dark and Light yellowish green splinter pattern. Thanks again for posting.
  19. Fire... ahh yes. I was just doing some intensive reading, and the CW were using Fire breathing Churchill's in a town near Hill 112. It was a great read. If I were the Germans.. I would target those Basts.. first!
  20. I know it seems trivial, but the license plates would be nice to have been done. Seeing Waffen SS halftracks, kubles and such with WH plates is sorta weird. Thanks to the modders you all do a great job.
  21. Yeah... exactly... what the heck are people complaining about rocking tanks, so they are slightly exagerated.. who cares. I had the opportunity of seeing a Panther close up and on the move, its about as jerky as it is in game. I meant the next thing people are going to complain about is why are there no injuries to my units when the tank fires its main gun and infantry are right next to it.. Give me a break.. BF team has done a excellent job.
  22. Ahh that makes sense, I know the Russian front had specific Sturm Battalion's. They were Infantry units, not Panzer Pioneer's. So yeah, I totaly get what your saying here now.
  23. Thanks Sergei, I want to play as the CW, and get some kind of perspective of the area, attacking that hill. I know there must be some great books about the subject, just need to find an unbiased view. Hill 112 was really important, up untill the Americans finally got momentum, then they just swung around the entire area. Anyways it was a bloody mess that area. thanks.
