The idea of making the enemy "deploy early"
cool breeze replied to a topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I get you, thanks! -
once LOS for the action spot to action spot is checked to see if they can possibly see each other I thinkg they do LOF and LOS checks for the actual spotting person to person, so the bush in front of one guy but not the other matters. sounds meter to meter to mee, a 400 times imporvment. correct me if Im wrong. I bet cover for each soldier being area fired is also done on a 1x1 meter basis.

I preordered but I havent gotten the email yet!!!!!!!! AHAHAGG -
If LOS or lof with buildings is only done from the center then how come I move around my target to find the extra blue patch when targeting buildings? Im not contradicting anyone, I have seen how you cant shoot the side of a building when another building is mostly in the way but this seems inconsistent.

also, at least in MOUT, your infantry are a lot tougher and spot a lot better than your AFVs . I think you want to screen, scout, and advance with your infantry with you vehicle hiding where they can pop out and shoot keyholed or well covered spotted enemies. an enemy RPG will probably hit at close range like in MOUT and one will kill an AFV or usually up to a few of a squad. Id rather have a few wounded infantry than a dead bradly. And youll maybe spot and surpress with the rest of the squad, which you wont do with a blown up AFV.

Oh, and it seems like a better analogy than the 11 and 4 year old one, which I liked,is a big ass mugger beating and stealing from an small weak person but your a skilled fighter and can stop him no prob and teach a lesson too so you step in and beat up the mugger. -

I dont know much about this but from what I've heard it sounds like Russia's reaction has been very restrained, moderate, and forgiving compared to how the USA rolls. We've got CIA and dollars all up in the middle east manipulating and inciting things all over. I assume much like the Russians to do but we have way more power. But when we get involved with arms forces we dont let em off so easy. Gulf War One we incite with sanctions then when we go in we bomb over a hundred thousand as they retreat like we asked. In Gulf War Two we purposely target the waste treatment plants poisoning the countries water with raw sewage along mixing the soil with heavy metals via DU. Right? -
I think the spotting is stronger while the vehicle is stationary and certainly its harder to see the stationary tank. So I think you'd have more success having the tanks stop in hull down to the enemy and sit with the target arc till it finds it or you chicken out. Im no expert.

It might even be tactically important. go to the dead platoon to get ammo.

but the issue here isn't vumpsh's credibility but whether John was missleading in his summary of the meaning of vumpsh. We all know its only a youtube comment so it could be a lie. My point is John was accurate to say that this guy claims to know the details of the factory documents.
-
yeah, but for "Vumpsh" to not be lying he must have done this investigative task himself or else talked to someone who has. I know its not quite the same as saying he did it himself but its close.

A nice thing about logic is its not really a matter of opinion. It seems to me very clear that John was correctly paraphrasing what the qoute said and he explained it well. Bug-bug, youd sound smart instead of lazy and mean if youd explain how his logic is faulty.

Is it the best game ever? Yes.
