  1. the tac ai shoots when it has a good shot with yellow, at least it did pre 1.05, I like low walls so much i havent hardly played 1.05. I mean I sometimes saw one or a few guys shooting an enemy out of los to the whole squad, but in los to then, like yellow now represents. but it could be a good feature i cant hink about it now.

  3. I dont think it is the games faults that are to blame with wego in this game. I think it is the inherent limitations of trying to do a game like this modern. I think 1to1 was the right move, seems much more realistic to me, but I dont think technology and resources are yet available to have tac ai doing everything neccessary to react to threats within 1 minute. It was ok in ww2 because lethality and speed were soo much lower. Too much stuff can happen in 1 minute, too many bullets fly, too many atgms fly. coordination of vehicle groups with precise timeing is too much more important because targeting is so much better and reloading faster. its too much more important that afv crest at same time. vehicles should move to shoot inf shooting your inf xtra fast if you can because otherwise you inf may be dead when minute is up. Deciding when infantry should fall back is not something I want my men to decide, I want to tell them when and I dont want to wait till the end of the minute, itll probably be to late. try the default hotkeys, use the f keys and the 3x3 square below them. its a good system. You cant expect digital officers to do the stuff real ones do. just my 2 cents. it is cool how big a force you could potentially control because of wego, but I think we should wait till digital officiers are much better. I need to have platoon tac ai before Ill want to control a big force wego. Or if I ever get way more time I could do it with a powerful trigger control system, like i imagine the editor use, but that sounds super hard. Peace, Sam
  4. I use the down all the time, it workks well for me los is not a clear cause of gras and bush and such, so really narrow cover arcs help a ton .

  6. Yeah Echo good point, but he had to go to all the strykers to get that much ammo, it wasnt expected. looking forward to battling some one! Whens the low wall bug fix coming? Have you noticed that high walls should make strykers hull down? Merry Christmas!
  7. It usually takes more than a couple auto cannon rounds to incapacitate light ACVs . The 105mm heats usually blow things up hard, so you damaged his while he blew yours up.
  8. In game it looks like a tall wall will make a good but shoot through able hull down position. It looks like I can drive my stryker next to a high wall courtyard and look at bottom floor and most of grass courtyard via remote turret. It seems that they are treated as being taller than shown. Similarly, but less important, stryker turret should be able to see over lowest buildings sometimes. Final today then I can play against some of you soon! Thanks for a hella good game, I keep telling my friends about it.

I stopped splitting my squads almost entirely cause they kept getting cut up. syrian squads are less than 9 men so we hella waste em on squad on one. lots of syrian squads are more than 5 strong so half squads get beat often. assault orders works like splitting squads for short range MOUT overwatch but they kick more ass once reformed and its way easier to input. overwatch is best at granade range in MOUT but you still get killed assaulting an unsuppressed squad so shoot across the street first if suspicious
  10. I usually only use cover arcs for vehicles or short range MOUT overwatch or special cases. I use face very regularly. I like to give inf an extra 500 rounds right away especially cause I dont make em move much. I want them to fire at almost every opportunity they take, since they usually only fire on there own when they will kill. I really like how they blaze away at targets hard yet are still at full ammo cause of the extra. I may start giving em extra all the time, 500 round is only 2 extra clips per soldier, shouldn't make em much more tired. I dont feel I am good at this game, I just try and play it safe. I try to keep moving my stuff forward safely and blow up bad guys I find. If my inf keep shooting at stuff they feel like I try and kill those guys by moving forward safely or blowing them up from where i am. an I try not to have one squad both blast the distance and be my close overwatch. Ill prolly just move another squad close to the first one so it shoots **** too. by just shooting stuff and moving forward safely I usally end battles early because they keep showing themselves and I shoot them and break them and that keeps happening till they surrender. Im expectng to get my but hande dto me against really people cause I play really predicatably now.
  11. RPGs used to almost always hit me and blow me up. Now I started trying to stay hull down they almost alway miss and dud most the time they hit a stryker. los/lof issues havent affected me hardly at all with vehicles and hull down. inf hull down not relyable, but play it safe and it works alright often. I love CMSF. Long live CMx2 MODERN!!! can hardly wait to start the real challenge, battling people in 1.05.
  12. Yeah! I do like that and LOVE MOUT and non mout. ive been averageing like 2 KIA per mission as US against AI via restarting when I do something against commmon sense considering WYSIWYG. Lots of smoke and short movement orders and lots of assault orders and moving strykers ahead of infantry and its all about the infantry over watch. vehicles dont see things without really small cover arcs. When I finally started taking the WYSIWYG idea seriously is when things started acting like I expect. I have only been playing prepacked senerios and been playing them in... expected ways, so I think the routs I try have been debugged or something. I hardly notice bugs except occasionaly running around the long way or getting stuck. LOS/LOF problems in MOUT are much less when you dont try using target orders. if on ly one man is in lof n the squad, you cant order the squad to fire, but he will fire on his own. I order vehicles to are fire regularly because they hardly shoot otherwise. I play RT so it is all pretty straightforward. OH!! and hull down helps hugely!!!hulldown made me a big fan of the stryker vehicle, unmanned turret= great idea!.
  13. So, Im playing the second lvl of the campaign. My first platoon just cam through a breach in the wall by barracks and are all in the middle edge building. they fight a bit thenBOOOOM!!! carbomb takes out over half the platoon and injures another 1/4. Then I was playing a city attack scenerio and a whole 3 of 4 strykers were were wiped out really quick by tanks through some trees I thought would block LOS, but prolly shouldnt have. the last stryker lost one man and panicked for a long time, I couldnt give em any orders. It was so cool@! I woulda panicked too when most the people I know got blown up. GREAT GAME!

This kind skillful and very hard working gives you a free senerio and your response is over 85% complaint and without kindness. What were you hoping to do with your post; get an apology? You and the world would benifit if you start moving your social interaction time from the internet (and anonymity) to face to face. If you speak in person like you type on-line lossing fights will make you more civil and the world more pleasant. I know you would not dare speak like you type because you could not look at someone and say what you write. You could not handle the loooks of disgust and anger. Haave you ever complained about any gift given to you to the givers face? I thought not.   19. Sorry for off topic, but the vehicles in Dropteam clearly have limited energy because their speed is limited by horsepower, not just traction. Looking forward to getting a comp playing dropteam for me.
  20. I vote for this big but it scares me so I want a distance limit on LOS contact spotters. I suggest 2km. Ide also have say .5-1km non LOS sensor sharing... maybe. Cant wait to start playing again!~! Thanks!!

  23. It would be really nice if bot mortar accuracy was a slider or level control for the host. It would be great if a team commander could set the bots general drop proirities, like a slider or level control for infantry, light vehicles, heavy, mortar, atgm, ion.
