  1. Panzer76, There are a bunch of over 90 percent effective systems in development. I wasn't taking about mine because as I explained I plan on taking mine to my grave. Arena works on long rod penetrators too, so speed alone doesn't get through the current systems. They need to start packing missiles with counter measures like evasion stealth and/or decoys to beat the current systems. Mine should work on them too If I change my mind and build it. 2. and they could move to fortified bases in the desert a short drive from but out of fire of the built up areas.
  3. I believe it takes a lot more unguided sub munitions to wipe out or suppress tanks than infantry. And I would argue that tanks are a much smaller target to hit than infantry, because against tanks you need a direct hit, while against people or tires an air burst 155mm does not have to go off within what I call close. Didnt you guys notice how easy the campaign levels were when you took advantage of the large stashes of 155mm? It simply wrecks infantry even if you only guess around where they are. and One of the javalins costs as much as a ton of those 155 shells. Tanks will soon regularly sport anti missiles systems that beat almost all missiles. Any nation can use google earth, pre registered artillery aim points, and low tech coms with good procedures to have artillery control on comparable level to USA, and perhaps the anti air defense to protect it. To me tanks/apcs seem very necessary to winning a war. And, as i said, I have a tech that makes this more true faster, maybe I use it. Any wars I can stop by making missile defense available to anyone cheaply and fast?
  4. Agree completely that this game is for MP, but its fun with just one opponent, you have tons of control over all the AI units and can switch between them, making it a rad FPS/RT tactics game.
  5. Wow I didnt mean to sound so demanding. That was my first time writing all caps and i dont like the results. You should read about the game a bit if you make minimum wage or less.
  6. EVERYONE SHOULD BUY DROP TEAM NOW! Its is one of the 2 or 3 or 5 best computer games ever and Ive played the best good games. If everyone play We could have Big battle with extreme. Units are squads and AFVs insertion is from orbit(fast) and setting is plausible falling hightech empire simulation. There are lots of tools for coordination. scenarios can be on planets that cant support life without aid so more variety is expected.
  7. I imagine you could get the fortification result your looking for by having a surplus of light and medium bunkers connected by trench? Hide behind the bunkers or away in trenches to avoid recon fire? I dont know, havent tried.
  8. This forum is the first place Ill write about it if I ever patent it. I don't think I have any more to say about this. Y'all have my email address and that is probably the most appropriate way to reach me. If I dont respond I didnt get it and you should post here
  9. I think I have made it too easy to figure out already, but I still dont think any of you will figure it out. If you do get it then I wont say so as to not draw attention to it but I would bet big money with bad odds that you wont guess it. It is an active defense.
  10. Dropteam is a great game! I dont know for sure how many and much of B or C things will be dealt with and when.
  11. Oh, you asked what research was specifically before I posted here. The only new research discoveries I have made since first asking here are the Russian active tank defenses and the list of other countries developing them, and airbag armor. I only read about the Russian one since. I read about the American and Israel one before posting this thread. Sparks Website is new to me and I have been enjoying it, it is new research not yet very relevant.
  12. What research? Fair question. I see two basic research topics before me, one behind me. You asked what is behind me. I needed to figure out how my invention fit in with the current weapons situation. When I invented this machine I only knew enough about weapons to play this game ok. My invention attacks specific weaknesses in these systems as I understood them so I began researching a bunch of current ATGMs to see which would be affected and how. This was easy as my invention takes no engineering marvels. I just had to read the summaries of the different common missiles to see basically how they worked (not like an engineer, Im not one.) I also read about some kinds of guided artillery to see how they would be affected and protected against. I watched videos of these things in action to confirm my understandings. I also read about the tank defenses I understand to be the more developed effective ones to see if they changed anything. it turns out that they deal with some current threats similarly effectively as mine will. Mine has big advantages thats these do not, so mine is still worthwhile. This is really a original approach which hasn't been developed before. It is the kind of thing that given time and knowledge a really clever 13 year old might come up with. I have not had to scrap any of my designs because of my research, just occasionally add things to more thoroughly whomp.
  13. My invention isnt as impressive to me anymore now that I see how many other systems also provide high level of protection against atgms and RPGs. I do still want help on basically the same question because I still believe my system will cause substantial change down the road. Although the relative power of my system just decreased for me the absolute power has continued to grow. My machine is probably more effective and useful, much cheaper and easier to copy and develop. You can combine many other systems with mine to make the defense system hugely harder to counter. any guesses on when 1.06 or Marine module is coming out? Sam
  14. Flaming Knives, I thought you were probably a member of that websites team because of your quote immediately after the link (also the first link). "Nooo! What have you done!? You mentioned that which should not be! You even posted a link! Just hope that he doesn't find US." my emphasis. I had been thinking about asking you about it. I only read the headlines and the intro of The Brave American, which I liked and thought righteous. It seems good so far. It really is no good?
  15. Webwing, No offense taken, I was just surprised. Thanks for the explanation. I will research the defense systems flaming knives just listed to make sure mine is still profitable and www.combatreform2.com Thanks! Ill tell y'all if I still think it is a extra potent idea when I know better. Cheers, Sam
  16. I agree this should be changed, but I know a work around that sometimes help. You can disembark split and reembark and give the teams move orders before the mission starts.
  17. It is similar in that it is multi functional and effective against a wide range of threats but I believe mine is more generally useful, and probably a lot cheaper and definitely easier to copy. I think mine is a lot harder to counter and will be more usefully upgradeable for longer. but both sound very effective against current threats. Does Israel have another one using a fat shotgun or is that just USAs active intercepting defense?
  18. jjhouston, Thanks for the link! I missed it earlier. At first glance it looks like they really know what they are talking about! Looking forward to learning more soon, but skiing w/ family today. The Fighting Seabee, I like you too Webwing, This is the first time I have ever heard anybody accuse someone of lying about who they are. What do you not believe about who I claim to be and why? It surprised me a lot because my claims have been so modest, 21 in college at SJCC live in San Jose, given full name and date of birth and email.
  19. TO ALL RESIDENT SCHOLARS AND LEARNED MEN: I wrote a poem I want you to read. I should have known Id get no help here. I've seen why for so long now. This is my second poem in a very long time. I should have known. I had forgotten that you have forgotten what with age we do forget. that with age our minds become callously worn out by too much wear That the daily newsly routine grind slackens our curiosity and need to question why. You have forgotten WHERE ALL new things come from. From imagination research reason and fact checking. Its not about credentials, narrow educations narrow horizons. If I were an expert on anything, it would certainly be combat. I like to think on combat because it's only rules are Gods. Thats how I like to think of things. (from the ground up) because so many scholars and leaders have blinders on. This is why I came here with high expectations. Here I know people who see things as they are. Who see beneath the surface to the rocks and truth of it. But I had forgotten that you've forgotten, what we all forget. In case you have forgotten, the two things I am looking for here are simple. I want a expert on current affairs to help or direct me to figure out the possible ramifications of me releasing this invention. I will tell them what my invention is and it wont take much time. Secondly, to aid with the first part, I want a person with both respect on this forum and who lives around the SF Bay Area to let me tell them about this invention for 10 to 20 minutes so they can vouch for my truthfulness and get me the expert help I so dearly want. Flaming Knives, I've also heard that George Bush Senior enticed Saddam to attack Kuwait by responding very weakly to his proclaimed attack plans so that USA could then try our new weapons on the open desert. Anyway, I need to research this thoroughly no matter how unlikely the chances of calamity are. Even if it had never happened before (new tech starting war) then it still could, so I need to be careful. To others, And it is silly that people keep talking about the counters and counter counters that will work on this when I am the only one who knows what this is and I have stated that I have figured out a long series of counters and counter counters that this would initiate. I did this with a huge amount of time spent on thorough brainstorming and research. To everyone, I should have expected this again because the amount of righteousness I see here is so low. Again and again Steve clearly talks reason and demonstrates his honesty and straightforwardness. Again and again peoples accusations are proven false. again and again no apologies are given and the insults continue and few step forward and say "I see that Steve is honest and right. Be careful with what mean untrue things you say." It seems you havent played or watched enough first person shooters, seen how good reflexes are. The real world is much more lethal than these games when the same situations are encountered. The aim and reflexes are professional and better and usually the bullet damage is more. The explosives much more potent. The coordination soo much better. A single man can kill many who run across a street. 9 men guarding the crossing and all will die. One of the only war simulators to date is Operation Flashpoint and it is highly detailed and seems very realistic. If you are a squad leader in that game and see another squad in los. all members of that squad will die in one second at hundreds of meters if you assign targets before they fire. Modern combat is more lethal than you believe. We can call air burst 81mm mortars to land on target in less than one minute. If you are found in modern combat it should not surprise you when everyone seen is killed very quickly. In the one minute that it often takes to kill a squad that so many keep complaining about over 1000 professionally aimed bullets and some grenades have been shot. Of course they are dead. The reason we keep getting such unusual casualty figures is that we keep putting them in such unusual situations. To have the weapons less lethal would ruin WYSIWYG. 20. I thought WW1 began largely because everyone thought their secret weapons were extra powerful. The wests invasion and domination of Africa and America with new gunpowder steel and ships. Japan raping China around ww2. I bet there are also lots of examples in medieval weaponry, but much smaller. I dont think the F-117 changed anything except how money is spent.
  21. Wunwinglow, Thank you for your offer. I do not expect to release this and make any money with my invention. I dont recommend building it now as I dont think that will help me much and it would cost a lot. But if you know a way for me to get you my idea low stress or I think of one I will send it your way with your word not to tell anybody without my permission. Thanks! Sam And thank you Schmoly War, thanks for the link, that was fascinating. I found that armor scary and feel we are in a similar boat with respect to people vs government and saving soldiers lives. But his idea couldn't start a war if things were really unlucky.
