  1. Hmm. I've played the scenario. I didn't think much of it. A Nazi fan-boy's joke it may be, but it was included in the CMBB Special Edition cd set that I bought. I think you should be careful whom you accuse.
  2. Interesting stuff. And you started this thread at 1:23 AM, my time. It's a sign. Heh.
  3. Thanks, Stoffel! This is the first scenario on which I've worked that has been shared with the community. Hopefully, you'll find it challenging and fun.
  4. What kind of junk do you mean? I haven't had any problems of that sort.
  5. Colorful language? I realize it's a song quote, but the content must be the same, right? As for my "dry pieties", they've come in handy at my local seminary. I plan to be ordained soon. Pax vobiscum and all that.
  6. It is remarks like these which are so typical of you, Jason. Instead of requesting that George make a smaller scenario in above manner, you could say, "George, do you have any scenarios smaller than this one that I might try?" You see the difference? Probably not. George puts a lot of effort and innovation into his work. I mean, who else would have thought to simulate an air liaison officer with an arty spotter? Such arbitrary comments anger me when someone is sharing his work with the other members of this forum. Posting links to new scenarios designed by you would be a great way to contribute to the CM community and help your reputation at the same time. I don't think you really care, though. I think you enjoy the attention your remarks draw.
  7. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, or, in this case, hosts your training scenarios. I can say that George is working on something smaller, though.
  8. That photo needs some accompanying Three Stooges sound effects.
  9. You have mail! Just emailed you anew one I have just finished with. Due to go to TSD II when I have the time Enjoy. Cheers fur noo George Mc </font>
  10. Pooor Ike. Glitches were discovered on the beta. Surely, you have other "things" to keep you occupied. Like maybe something that's coming out in a few days? Hmmmm? Maybe I'll see you there.
  11. Yeah, Glantz, Nipe, and Ziemke seem to be heavily cited sources by the development team. They plan to include Finland, eventually. You hear that, Sergei?
  12. Winecape(who I guess is on the development team) has stated that glitches were discovered on the beta version. So, release is delayed.
  13. I seem to recall it being stated that BFC will replace your damaged disk if you bought it from them or something. You'd better ask someone from the staff or tech support.
  14. Alrighty. The scenario I'm designing is a large/huge one, forces and map. So, I'll just make it a single battle.
  15. I'm designing a scenario and haven't decided if I want it to be an operation or a long battle. I've noticed some scenario authors don't design their scenarios as "operations" because of problems that they say they have with the operation format. It has something to do with reinforcements and front line movement, I believe. Can anyone give me his opinion on this matter?
  16. From RZM.com: "The culmination of years of research and survivor interviews, Hell's Gate is a riveting hour by hour and day by day account of this desperate struggle analyzed on a tactical level through maps and military transcripts, as well as on a personal level, through the words of the enlisted men and officers who risked the roaring waters of the Gniloy Tickich to avoid certain death at the hands of their Soviet foe." I would say it's a great work on a particular battle fought on the Eastern Front. I highly recommend it. Others here would probably do the same. You get more than your money's worth.
  17. They only lasted as long as they did because the Soviets focused on Berlin.
  18. Runyan99, As of January 2006, it's back in print! I was lucky to get an e-mail from the author himself, and he mentioned that I would be able to order a copy early this year. Alright. I have managed to shrink the file down, which was a challenge for me. It's a topographic map. I don't see a legend or scale. If anyone wants the full size map because the smaller version is difficult to read or just general interest, let me know. Incidentally, The town/village name at the middle left portion of the map got blurred in the scanner because of a fold in the map. It's Ssergijenko. Any other blemishes can be blamed on the war. Heh. EDIT: Whoops! Sorry, Runyan. I got my copy from RZM. linkie winkie [ February 28, 2006, 10:42 AM: Message edited by: Shmavis ]
  19. Crud. The file is too big for Imageshack to host it. Does anyone have an alternate host to suggest? I suppose I could just e-mail the file to whoever is interested.
  20. Ha! I seem to recall an ex-forum member(Efraim?) posting PDF files of scanned T-34 books. I think they were published by Squadron. I just have a map that wasn't part of the book's contents, with a note from the author explaining it. There are no copyright stamps on either. I guess it was just a treat from him. No one's discouraged me from posting the scan...be right back! Keep the funny signatures coming, Sergei!
  21. Well, after months of waiting, my copy has finally arrived! Along with this great book, I was surprised to find a neat copy in the package of a map used by troops of Korpsabteilung B as they made their way out of the pocket. I don't think it came with the original edition. Unless I would be committing a breach of copyright or some other legal offense(and if no one has seen it), I would like to post a scan of the map, as I think it could be a great resource for future scenarios. Again, I'm not trying to steal anyone else's property or whatever. So, can anyone tell me "yea" or "nay"?
  22. Welcome!...and Drat! I would humor you (heh), but I have to go to bed.
