Snipped from: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/3-50/Appg.htm When gleening through that webpage it seems that multi or bispectral blocking smoke (other then phosphorous rounds) is not in use for artillery delivered smoke (yet), at least by the US.

There are heaps of mod's that started out as free and then moved on to become paid products too, so your VALVE example isnt the "absolute truth" you seem to claim it to be either. And the battle pack isnt a mod. Its not something like say a modification to allow winter textures ie altering or adding stuff. Thats a mod. The battle pack is campaigns/missions made with a high standard with the CM editor. Its a battle/mission pack, just like its name say. Your other communitys definition of the word mod might not be universaly appliable. Battlefront have spelled out very well what the diffrent terminologis of base game, module, battle pack, upgrades and patches mean. You end it all by insulting people with a broad brush and playing the martyr card. *slow clap to a tiny violine*

Modern Russian infantry battalion structure

Could possibly mean militia/rebel/insurgent kind of forces. MVD might come to the table if the fictional scenario includes Crimea with them deployed as security troops prior to open hostilitys or something? -

The name: with "Blitzkrieg" in it
Jotte replied to DavidFields's topic in Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
Oh, they could make it CMFB1 as Final Blitzkrieg, CMFB2 as French Blitzkrieg and CMFB3 with First Blitzkrieg. Just to make it a bit more challanging to keep track of it -
I think you are misstaking expecting with wanting here. Of course everyone would have liked (more) new features, but if one have paided attention to what BF staff posts about what they will put into CMFB you'd know more what to expect. Whats been rubbing quite a few here the wrong way is the demanding/entitelment attitude some display about game features, repeatedly and not just in this thread, hence the rather fast antagonistic attitude towards their posts.

Thanks BTR

By "civilized but critical" you mean someone acting like a 20 year old 'known it all' brat. You might want to look up the concept of constructive critisism. You catch more flys with honey then with vineger....

Hmm, at least twice in that video there is a guy in bandana and leather vest figuring. His looks rings a faint bell. Isnt he some sort of infamous hoodlum?

Interesting choice of "tactical formation" by the TacAI here. We had a name for it during my service time but its not PC anymore to use I guess....

It looks to me like those 2 are on the edge of the road, ie they could very well have a certain amount of protection from a shallow ditch or similar. And by the looks of things there are no better protection (building, stonewall etc) nearby to run/crawl to anyway and they are not taking casultys from incomming fire so why get up and make yourself a better target then if you have at least some protection/concealment where you are? They need friendly supressive fire to "un-****" that situation. By the by, the fetal position animation is representing "taking cover" iirc.

I suspect you might interpet the terrain graphics to litteraly. Flat in game might still mean there are small undulations, like very shallow ditches along roads etc.
