  1. I always load all games to a folder I create called C:/SIMS/Battlefront (or whatever). I have no games in either of the Program Files folders. Does this create any sort of problems?
  2. The reality is that getting down to ground level and "eyeballing" the situation often does not work. One experiences this often in urban situations where one cannot target any part of an entire building when there are no obvious obstructions to LOS. It's a similar situation to one's ability to check LOS to a target from any waypoint one makes on the map. The problem is that when your unit arrives at that waypoint it often cannot get that same LOS. One wonders why BF did all that programming work to allow LOS to be checked from every waypoint, when it often doesn't work that way. It's a good example of how an experienced player has to learn how to fight/play "the game system" as opposed to playing the game as if it were RL. It's not a game breaker by any means. One learns to work around it. But, again, hopefully, something for BF to consider improving for CM3.

  4. Unfortunately, nah. It looks like a Priest with a pulpit. But armed with only a 50 cal weapon. Unfortunately there are no pics included with the mods, so can't look thru em. This is not a game breaker as the scenario can be run just fine with whatever it is. Am simply curious as to what it is and why is it replacing the Aris M5 mod, which I have.

  6. Really like the idea of allowing extra time for future missions if you lose one. Sounds easy for the designer to implement. The alternative is to strengthen the player's forces or weaken the enemy's in future missions which must be much more work to implement.
  7. That used to be easy in CM1 - IIRC "PrtScn" did it. Not sure how to take screenshots in CM2. If it requires another program to be installed...
  8. Having had some experience with PsyOps and Cyberwar, one has to ask what is the purpose of releasing this info to news outlets. Is the news article real itself or part of a deception strategy? The problem these days is that one really cannot believe much of what is in the media. It's an irony of the internet that while communications are easier than ever b4, it has become almost impossible to verify anything (unless one has personal contact/knowledge of the subject).
  9. So, it should look like an M5? I have all of Aris' huge collection of vehicle mods and do have a "Aris M5 LendLease HT's" mod in my Z. For some reason some other mod is appearing. Could it be a date issue? I note I also have at least a couple of other M5 mods in the various "mod sets" that are supposed to get activated when certain campaigns are running like "Fields where Poppies Grow" and "For King & Country". But, they should only change the camo. And anyone have any idea what a "Priest-looking vehicle" with only a 50 cal weapon is called? PS: I love seeing a few of the numerous Brit recon AC's. Wish you would do one of your great scenarios that features the full library of those light vehicles.
  10. The map and concept seem wonderful. I noticed that my 4th Troop HQ vehicle says it is an M5 (the other 3 in the Troop are M5A1's), but the vehicle graphic looks like a Priest vehicle version (armed with only a 50 cal MG). Which vehicle is it supposed to be and any ideas what could be causing the glitch?
  11. LOS in CM2 is often frustrating and becoming familiar with its idiosyncrasies is a challenge of its own. The above issue is most often experienced with HMG's and direct fire guns (inf or AFV's). My hope is that in CM3 there may be a routine that allows the AI to move the weapon the required few inches to attain LOS when the player eyeballing the situation sees no obstruction.

  13. Agreed. It just seems the right thing to do. Maybe in CM3 that could make a difference. Hopefully. BF makes notes on all ideas and will implement what is practical.
  14. There are decent CMA mods for BTR-80 & 70, Shilka, T55 & T62. But, yes it would be wonderful to have some more. As mentioned previously, there are good mods for the Soviets and Muj/Taliban/Uncon. But the stock ANA and face skins are terrible. I tried using the CMSF "Dutch to ANA" mod, bit doesn't seem to work in CMA. (Plus the uniforms would be wrong.)
  15. I think that's a map designer issue. There may have been a door in the interior that we can't see on the outside. Happens quite frequently and getting these things correct seems to be a bane for designers.

  19. Very cool videos. Thanks... Very interesting that they were training the halftracks to zigzag violently at speed to avoid being shot at by ATR's while a MG would suppress the ATR teams. In this case, the halftracks were expected to close with the enemy rather than stay back.
  20. I generally keep unused mods assuming they are not obsolete. So, is "Olek UKR Mabuta Mk2 Uniforms" obsolete so it can be permanently deleted?

BTW: Re your uniforms, In my CMBS Z folder I now have: Oleksandr-CMBS-infantry-Digital (v1.1) (NOTE: You may want to add the version number to the names of your mods to prevent confusion.) Oleksandr-CMBS- infantry-Ukranian-MabutaMK2 Olek UKR Mabuta Mk2 Uniforms Can I delete any of these as duplicates? Also, have you looked at older mods by others such as: "Ukrainian Soldiers" "RA-regulation standard (infantry 2017).brz" "Veins Ukrainian Soldiers" "Separatists (ukranian)" SnS1_Blimeys_Separatists_UkrDigital" "UA Rag Tag Helms (Digital Mix)" "Kieme CMBS reworked Ukrainian uniforms" Am trying to figure out if I can remove many of these as they conflict with your mods. But which ones?
