  1. Let me clarify. Yes, the shot trap on the Panther does work. In 1.00 it worked very rarely, but that was supposedly fixed in 1.01. If someone has seen a weak point penetration of some sort on the Panther upper hull that is good news, but I have bounced literally hundreds of 75mm and 76mm rounds off of Panther hulls in testing without seeing a penetration. That was in 1.00 mind you.
  2. Yeah. Except you can you can shoot a Sherman 76 at a Panther tank all day in CMBN and it will never penetrate the upper hull, despite the hull machine gun port located there.
  3. There are also no weak point penetrations in CMBN.

  7. Panzer Leader. I had to con people into playing it with me. I think I only finished two games. When I bought CMBN and saw the silhouetted unit counters in the UI it really brought back the nostalgia. It's why I can't use Juju's UI mod
  8. Yes, but it doesn't work in reverse, i.e. 1.10 files cannot be opened in 1.01.
  9. I've been playing Carbide Carbide Redux over the last few days and the German trenches and foxholes were not visible until spotted. EDIT: This is with 1.10
  10. I would personally rather have 10 great QB maps than 100 decent ones. But I understand that the need to have a variety of sizes and terrain types probably makes that impossible. I have looked at the CW urban QB maps and they are a step up from the base game. They are still a bit spartan around the buildings, but adding flavor objects and maybe a rubbled building or two so AT teams have something to shoot out of isn't too hard, so I'm going to try doing that.

These discrepancies hold true for UK and German forces as well, e.g. the German Heer sniper team and breach teams have rarity values above 0 in the Available troops section (strict rarity), but when purchased they have none. Towed guns do get charged rarity, but less than what is advertised. In fact, this seems to be the case for every unit in the game. I cannot get any unit for the same amount it should be. It is always less, or nothing.

  14. The CMBN 1.10 stand-alone patch has NOT been released yet. It's supposed to be out in a week or so. Presently, the only way to get 1.10 is to install the CW module. Trees will sway if the were is strong enough wind and the camera is close enough to them. I have not noticed longer grass, but increasing the 3D detail setting (or whatever it's called) will increase the amount of grass displayed.
  15. They're hunting for the latrine. About the rocking and rolling tanks, although it is obviously exaggerated it really doesn't bother me. I place it at #138 on my list of Things I Want Improved. Stuff that affect game play are more important.
  16. Or just load the scenario into the editor and change the time limit to anything you want.
  17. I actually prefer most of the stock vehicle texture to mods, since I'm not a fan of the dirtied-up look most mods have. Outside of the few mentioned in this thread BFC has done an outstanding job on the vehicles.
  18. Except they've already said that the Ardennes Offensive is the next game. And they still have the Market Garden module and maybe another one after that.

  20. From the description given it sounds like the OP is assaulting a building that has defenders on the 3rd floor, but his heavy weapons can't target the 3rd floor, presumably because they don't have LOS to the 1st floor.
