  1. Too good not to post again. I can claim no credit for this other than copying and pasteing it
  2. Steve while you're here - any chance the mega tile concept can be used so you can save a small area of tiles to a "resource bank" - so that church, graveyard and surrounding trees (as an example) can be used in mutliple scenario maps without having to be built every time. I would happily spend time on really well constructed tiles if I could save and reuse them. Hope this makes sense.
  3. I read this to be the Brit forces module for the Normandy game, but I guess we need Steve to clarify this
  4. New road and ground textures, building with pitched roof, temperate trees, and it looks like there is squad in the rear HT.
  5. Sad to say the problem is back. The whole computer has turned off twice tonight, each time on a mouse click. One a rewind action view, the other when attempting to save, so you can imagine how frustrating that was.
  6. I've just tried to delete the 12th Jackal in a Light Inf Bttn Recce Plt, but the unit editor window only allows up to vehicle 11 to be shown. (This is with no other units activated). It gets worse if other unit types have been selected previously. Please look at making this window scrollable or bigger. Thanks
  7. A quick note just to say my problem has not been repeated since the first day. I wonder if it had something to do with a windows update that occured the same day. Regardless I'm now good to go
  8. The exe file is 283MB as it sits on my desktop HTH P
  9. No never bothered with that, I've always used the default keymap.
  10. Been playing around with the Brits, but on four occasions clicking the mouse or pushing a button (both on keyboard and UI) has turned the computer off. It's like the power button is turned off. PC turns off in an instant and when restarted advises it was closed down incorrectly. Computer is working fine otherwise, I never had this problem before, and its only happening when running CMSF with the Brits. Any help appreciated PS Brits look great from what I've seen
  11. Interesting thread on how recce fits (or does not fit) into the CMSF world. My large rural maps were made with recce tasks in mind. Now we've got the 4 hour time limit for scenarios recce will come into it's own. How does an hours recce grab you, prior to a 3 hour assault, on a 2k map.
  12. Looks good He seems to be calling 432's Spartans though.
  13. There's 4 of my maps, plus a further 3 within scenarios, all at the repository, and free for all to use. I think as others have mentioned scenarios are time consuming to make ( I find the playtesting and balance the difficult part) and I think very people have the patience to see the entire process through from start to finish. No real way around this, but I suspect more people will give it ago in CM:Normandy just because
  14. Well you can sort of blow bridges. Have a look at my "A Bridge too Far Scenario " in the repository. A building can be used to make an infantry passable bridge, and as a building can be destroyed in a number of ways. It might work for what you are trying to do.
  15. Baggy trousers, FFR's and SA80, brings back good memories.
  16. You can also place a building over a bunker. Needs to be done in the editor obviously, and depending on the way it is placed either be fully inside or just poking out. For the latter if a 2 floor building is used a porch can then be placed over it, making it harder to see. Do remember to change the appropriate wall to the rubble/destroyed wall to allow effective LOS/LOF.
  17. OK found it It's in Version 101brz. explode it and you are good to go
  18. Should have known it wouldn't be that easy. Like you I can't find it.
  19. Is it not the bitmap called "floor" found in the buildings folder of the textures ?
  20. A Bridge Too Far is my scenario (hope you enjoyed it). As Sergei has called it, the river is made of marsh tiles, and so they are impassable. Hence the importance of the "bridge".
  21. My "Bridge Too Far" scenario features this very concept, although I just used one single story building. It's at Cmmods if anyone is interested
