  1. Leave even the biggest kitty in range of an ATR and they will plink away. Before you know it, yellow optics and degraded spotting.
  2. For every RT pbem I've played since it came out that had uberpanzers, I've played half a dozen with PZ IVs, StGs, T-34s, and Su-76s. Realism is great and I love it, but I really enjoy something different from time to time. I loved AK because of all the wonderful early war AFV's. So, I'll keep clamoring for E series Panzers, Pershings, T-29/32 types, Comets, Centurions, IS-3/4/7s, and so on because variety is the spice of life.
  3. Just give us the E-10, -25, -50,-75, and -100 plus the appropriate Allied tanks and that would be the greatest CM gift ever.
  4. Battle Pack, Battle Pack, does whatever a Battle Pack does...Can it swing from a web, not it can't, it's a Pack, look out...here comes a Battle Pack...
  5. Several of the late kitties have the Nahverteidigungswaffe.
  6. BN has KT's but I agree with your point. I love what if's. Steve once talked about adding a pack or something with E series Panzers and other late war goodies and I will keep hoping for that as long as I live. A 45-46 West v East would also be fun.
  7. I will have to go with the New Jersey. I have a block of her deck with a commemorative plate mentioning damage sustained during the Korean War while she was commanded by my Great Uncle Captain Francis McCorkle during 1951 and 52.
  8. At the risk of being labeled a cretin, I thoroughly enjoyed early war tanks in AK blazing away at each other at ridiculous ranges and mostly missing. Great H2H battles, trying to decide if you should close, or stay back and hope to get lucky, and when to pull back. Some of my favorite battles. Plenty of interesting terrain in the desert and the smoke and haze effects we could have now would be awesome.
  9. Similar for me. I enjoy large RT, FI, and BN games, but I enjoy smaller BS games more because of the lethality. But, for games against the AI, if it's a blue only scenario, I go into the editor and remove the US forces and replace them with the equivalent Ukrainian units. When you hit deploy it doesn't show you the other side's units, so nothing is given away and it's more interesting to play.
  10. I'm sure he would, but we just can't abide pixeltruppen that obey every order.
  11. I notice the difference in spotting, but my rule of thumb is any terrain within 200m that might be likely to produce small arms/mg fire = buttoned. I'm also in the camp that the TC's should button up quicker even though my regular opponents and I all use motivation levels or normal or less.
  12. +1 and I agree with the rest of your post, too.
  13. It may not be possible, but can you not cut out whatever you want from a map and save it, then add dimensions and fill in those areas to your heart's content? edit: checked real quick and I could do that with a QB map. Of course, you could only start with one piece and add, not paste in multiple parts that you like, which would be nice.
  14. Can't speak for him, but to me the PF's he uses are much sharper at a glance than the defaults with the fading background so it actually fits better with his weapon silhouettes imho.
  15. Yep, not perfect, but just as CAS does far too much damage in the WWII CM's, AA is far too effective in BS, so you do what you have to do.
  16. +100 My regular opponents and I use very limited air assets and more precision arty to simulate CAS.
  17. Couple of places you can vote for CMBS here
  18. Nothing cringe worthy in RT, I've enjoyed the hell out of those QB maps. Even better one's make me look all the more forward to FB, though.
  19. A team never goes anywhere scouts haven't gone. A squad never goes anywhere a team hasn't gone. A platoon never goes anywhere a squad hasn't gone, etc.
