1.
quote:
Originally posted by Slapdragon: Gee Outcast, who are you really?

Another Gunny_Bunny split personality, possibly? That idiot used to post something then compliment that post with a different username right afterwords. This guy is somefink else. Becomes unpopular in a short amount of time, then trashes himself to try and become popular? Sounds like something a 12 year old would do. The movie "Me, Myself and Irene" comes to mind. Can't wait for the "flame war" between these two.
 2.
quote:
Originally posted by Colonel_Deadmarsh: What do you mean "as if"?

Hee, hee! Good one. Wonder if NonCombatGeneral is only 12 as well. (see CD thread for explanation)
 3.
quote:
Originally posted by funnyman: ...im only 12.

Wow! There's a suprise!
 4. Don't like CM, don't play it. Better yet, write your own game. I'm sure it will be as superior as your attitude.
 5.
quote:
Originally posted by funnyman: naw as n later posts I said i have the CD and i did buy from Battle Front . Why would I download of the Internet when I have the cd.

Just a little joke. MadMatt is notorious for hunting down those who use warez versions of CM. Your previous post sounded a bit ambiguous (downloaded vs. reinstalled). Glad to hear it's working again.
 6. I agree. This guy does a lot for BTS. Maybe they can hire him officially for support. Kinda like how they added The Bald One and Manx. Cool concept, fans become employees.
 7.
quote:
Originally posted by funnyman: dont know it just fixed itself actually i dumped the poisened one and downloaded the full version again.

Downloaded? As in off the Internet? Boy, for your sake I hope not. A large, bald individual by the name of Matt will be looking for you. Hopefully you mean reinstalled.
 8. bulbulhoca, I just downloaded your lo-res mod and my jaw hit the keyboard. FANTASTIC WORK! I can't believe that is lo-res! Can't wait for the hi-res version. BTW, you might want to contact Gordon and have him do the Mr. Freeze on this beauty. Best King Kitty mod yet. And that's from a long time, hardcode, dedicated mod slut. Outstanding job for your first time out. [ 12-05-2001: Message edited by: sitzkrieg ]

 9.
quote:
Originally posted by ciks: The chain was "85% quality".

That is wrong. I think each link should be individually modelled for a quality rating. Each link shouldn't have a blanket "85% quality". BTS PLEASE FIX OR DO SOMEFINK!
 10.
quote:
Originally posted by mike8g: This is what another German magazine wrote about CM ************************************************* "PCA" review of Combat Mission: Either on the Allied or the Axis side you take part in this turn-based strategy game and fight historic battles like the battle for the bridge at Arnheim. Neither the rotateable 3d graphics nor the boring playing principle can convince. As long as you don't belong to those human, who rebuild historic battles at home with tin soldiers, you can keep your hands away from this humorless Combat Mission. Graphics: 55% Sound: 60% Multiplayer: 47% Single player: 45% ************************************************* I guess the whole review was done within minutes. Anyhow, they're not my favorite magazine anymore... Marcus [ 11-19-2001: Message edited by: mike8g ]

All your bases are belong to us. Bit of a literal translation problem methinks?
 11. By 1944, the Allies had total air superiority so airborne troops were pretty worthless for the Germans. So they were used as regular infantry units. They have access to StuGs because they were either in the TO&E for a 1944 Fallschirmjager division or BTS included them so Fallschirmjager units would have at least some armor. As for being air-dropped, I don't think so. A JU-52 had enough trouble getting airborne with a full compliment of troops, let alone an additional 20-odd tons of assault gun  . The only vehicle I know of that was "dropped" by airborne troops during the war was the Allies "dropping" jeeps and that was by glider. Hope this helps.
 12. CMPlayer, BUZZZZT! Reverse the order and you get it right. In other words: PLEASE FIX OR DO SOMEFINK!!!
 13.
quote:
Originally posted by Doug Williams: You know, a mod CD might not be a bad idea. It might help those people, especially those overseas, who don't have broadband connections. If it were issued by, say, CMHQ, and the mod authors' permission was given. A nominal fee could be charged, to cover duplication. Just a thought.

I already do something like that for a couple of CM buddies that I work with. I supply a readme file with all the changes from the last CD I made, install instructions, etc. I try to make an update disk about every 3 months. I would NEVER charge for it (good way to loose friends). I could see if someone were to do something similar that they could charge for CD costs and shipping but that is ABSOLUTELY it. I don't think anyone would have a problem with that because there is no profit being made in it for someone else's work (ie the modders). Just my 2 cents... Forgot to add... Glad to see BTS took care of this. It just goes to show they really care about the CM community and fan base. [edited to add praise for BTS ] [ 11-03-2001: Message edited by: sitzkrieg ]

 14. If you want to see something really funny, go to alt.games.combat-mission. Looks like GB is talking to himself again. What a sad, pathetic little creature he is. Needs some serious psychological help and to start taking his medicine again. Anybody have any clue why he has such an axe to grind with BTS? Did they piss in his Cheerios one morning or somefink?
 15. "She" is back at it in the Tech Support forum. wwb_99 has an interesting point in the Tech Support thread. Makes me wonder if it is Gunny Bunny posting under another name AGAIN! The posts have the same venomous, axe-to-grind with BTS feel that the ex-Rabbit's had. [ 10-29-2001: Message edited by: sitzkrieg ]

 16.
quote:
Originally posted by Joshik: modsluts.com -Joshik

I like this one. States the truth and is a bit different. But it might get alot of hits from people looking for other types of graphic files. [edited because I can't write today] [ 10-26-2001: Message edited by: sitzkrieg ]

 17.
quote:
Originally posted by Lord General MB: Sir, As Doug said, why not start to dump out the older mods, and make CM's more of a hotline update kinda site (you know... the first place to ahve the DL's)?

I have to agree with this as well. Maybe start dumping some of your mods that are over a year old. I know it's not fair to people just getting into CM but some of the mods are duplicated at CMHQ and other sites. Maybe some more coordination between sites? I don't know, just making some suggestions. I'VE GOT IT! BTS, hire or pay Manx to update CMHQ and the Battlefront.com website. Madmatt seems to have more than enough on his plate. In the meantime, Manx, sorry to hear this. Your site is the best and has always been one of the fastest to post mods. A sad day for the CM community.
 18.
quote:
Originally posted by Juju: the stars actually twinkle!!!!

Sing along: Twinkle, Twinkle, little star... Thanks for the info, on my way to check 'em out.
 19. Good job, Scipio! I think it looks great. Beats the hell out of the previous winter JgPzIV winter mod. I also like the Stug winter mod you did. Nice alternative to white-wash. Keep 'em coming!
 20. Hey, Adder! Been awhile, good to see you back. Send me an email. Maybe we could start up another PBEM. carterkeith@qwest.net
 21. No, but I'll take good odds on you chewing off your foot in anticipation. Just try to relax. I'm pretty sure the release will be announced on the forum, probably even before it's announced on battlefront.com BTW, aren't you getting ahead of yourself a bit. CMBB isn't scheduled for release until very late this year (December) at the earliest. In other words, it'll be done when it's done.
 22.
quote:
Originally posted by M Hofbauer: a hold-up ??? you sum kinda gangsta or sumpthink?

I believe the correct terminolgy for this board is "or somefink".
 23. Thanks for the update, Makjager. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on those, as well as your Marder/Wespe mods, when available.
 24.
quote:
Originally posted by panzerwerfer42: The G early and late are available at CMHQ. They're my favorite Panther mods now.

Yeah, I got that one. I think it was only for the Panther G but I could be mistaken. There was a really nice Panther A done in a "hasty" camo scheme that Makjager previewed at one time. Kinda looked like a mod Gordon did for the PzIV.
