1. Here's the link to Pud's site: http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~mudansha/index.html
 2. Magua, Your grass (not subdued) still works in autumn with some of the other subdued mods out there (Kump's and Gunslinger's in particular). I plan on using the grass and most of the terrain and tree mods all the time. Summer months looks so good in CM now. If only autumn did as well. (hint, hint). Again, truly excellent work. Thank you.
 3. Yeah, the white spots are supposed to be there. There was a thread earlier today where I asked the same question. Magua did reply but I don't know if he is planning on changing this later. If it really bothers you, do what I did. Use any graphic file editor and remove the white spots.
 4. SWEET! Been waiting for these for a long time. Plus Magua's Normandy terrain eqauls a mod sluts dream weekend. Thanks MadMatt! And a big thanks to the modders! Truly excellent work this weekend.

I just too much on my table at the moment, but you know...Anything is possible... Madmatt

Here's to hoping for tonight. Tomorrow wouldn't be so bad either. Thanks for the update.
 6. Maximus posted a topic a couple of days ago asking MadMatt where they were with a screen shot that looked incredible. Anyone know where and when they might be available?
 7.
quote:
Originally posted by Manx: Taken from "Instructions.txt" (instructions.zip) "there are some rough bits (*cough* trees...) so please look quickly in the other direction when you spot the odd purple hued pixel." - MAGUA

Sorry, Manx. Guess I didn't look close enough. Thanks for pointing that out.
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by Manx: About the speckles -- Read the instructions...Magua does mention some stuff about some minor problems with tree's etc. etc. [ 06-16-2001: Message edited by: Manx ][/QB]

Sorry to be a pain in the ass but I looked in all of the readmes and didn't find any mention. I thought maybe I had done something wrong but the speckles are there even when you open the file with any BMP editor (Paint or PSP Pro). No big deal for me to fix for myself really. Should have mentioned it before I complained but this is an excellent set of terrain mods! I will probably be using most of them all of the time from now on. Great work Magua!
 9.
quote:
Originally posted by SS Peiper: Anybody have a problam with file 3 the building file?? I get a bad "CRC ad7of68d (should be 4a025d4)" I dont know what it means but I cant get the file?? Its for Bitmap 325 only?? anybody who has this file can you send it to me please. SS Peiper

I got the same error. I am also noticing white speckles on the tree bases for woods/tall pines. Anyone else notice this?
 10. I doubt it. ME is really Windows 98 Third Edition. Win2K's problems lie in the fact that although it uses the latest DirectX and it can run games, it is still Windows NT at heart and therefore much more picky with hardware and drivers. Good luck and enjoy the Geforce3.
 11. FIXED!!! Found the "magic driver" that works. 7.58 WHQL. I tried that driver before in Win98 and it was pretty solid and sure enough it fixed both the rebooting and the screwed up text. I don't think BTS should have to fix anything. It is obviously Nvidia's problem. They have how many odd versions out? 6.x, 7.x, 10.x, 11.x, 12.x  ! Some work great (like 7.58), others just suck. But at the same time, 7.58 might work fine for one game and not at all for another. And one version might work in one OS and not another. Nvidia's "release policy" (i.e. leaking drivers for the public to test) is evil to say the least. They make great chips but their drivers leave something to be desired. Appreciate the help, Schrullenhaft. [ 06-11-2001: Message edited by: sitzkrieg ]
 12. Tried the 12.41 drivers on the Dell machine. It didn't reboot this time but the text is all screwed up, even without FSAA on, exactly as it was in Win98SE with FSAA enabled. I love it how Nvidia uses the public to test their drivers. If anything, I would like to get back to the original drivers that were installed when I installed Win2K. Any idea how to do that (if it's possible at all)?
 13. Checked out your link to Leadtek. I already have the 6.2 BIOS installed.
 14. Schrullenhaft, Thanks for the info. I tried reinstalling DX 8 to see if that would take care of it with no luck. I'll look into the BIOS updates like you suggested and try both the new Leadtek drivers and/or the latest Nvidia driver. I kinda wanted to stay away from 12.* as I tried them in Win98SE and they screwed up FSAA. I wonder about the BIOS update as it was working fine before with my current video BIOS. My guess is either MS or Nvidia. Who knows? Seems running games in Windows is getting as bad, if not worse, than running games in DOS. I know SP2 SHOULDN'T have anything in it to cause a problem like this but with MS, you never know. Uninstalling is not an option as I installed SP2 with the installation. Like I said, at least I can still dual boot to Win98SE. Thanks!
 15. A couple of things I forgot: 1.) This only happens when FSAA is enabled to any degree (which is needed to clear up the text in Win2K) 2.) This is not a lockup where I have to reboot the machine, I double-click on CM with FSAA enabled and the machine reboots.
 16. Tried a search and didn't come up with anything similar. I had CM working fine in Win2K a couple of weeks ago. Now whenever I try to start CM it reboots my machine. This happens on two different machines: #1 Micron P3 700, 384MB RAM, Leadtek Geforce2 GTS (64MB), Win2K SP2, DirectX 8 #2 Dell P3 866, 128MB RAM, Geforce 256 (32MB), Win2K SP2, DirectX 8 Both machines are running the 6.50 Nvidia reference drivers. My only guess would be SP2 as I believe it is the only thing I have changed as of late. I tried going back to both 6.31 and 6.18 and it still reboots my machine whenever I start CM. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions? BTW, #1 is a dual boot with Win98SE so all is not lost.
