Engineers can clear minefields!
Pvt. Ryan replied to Runyan99's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Someone is using the search feature. -
I printed it today using a color inkjet printer on plain paper. A higher quality paper would have produced better results, but it came out pretty nicely. I used Easy CD Creator's built in jewel box templates to correctly lay out the covers.

Will CM:BB correctly model the Russian Antitank Dog?
Pvt. Ryan replied to Ligur's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
No, they will not be correctly modeled. Actually, they won't appear in the game at all. -
RMC and MADMATT - re the copyright violation
Pvt. Ryan replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
There is no need to drag 109 Gustav into this. Hola Madre! -
Can anyone identify this flag?
Pvt. Ryan replied to Croda's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Maybe these people can help identify the flag: http://home.t-online.de/home/flaggenarchiv/gb.htm -
All horses have been requisitioned by the cafeteria at Gustav's college.

I had done the same, but I recently wiped my BMP folder when CMMOS 3.0 came out and I forgot to save those files. I have Andrew's mod installed but I guess I'll have to wait for the CMMOS reissue. Fall SS camo looks really tacky in the Spring.

It's all explained here.

Pvt. Ryan replied to Iron Chef Sakai's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Count each vote from Chicago 10 times to save them the trouble. I vote for Mom. What a b*tch! [ February 24, 2002, 02:44 AM: Message edited by: Pvt. Ryan ] -

MadMatt and community a moment please!
Pvt. Ryan replied to Priest's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I'm sure glad my mom doesn't know HTML! -
That must have been a thread I missed. For many months the second installment was referred to as CM2, especially since we didn't know the name was going to be CM:BB. The engine rewrite was referred to as CM II. If this has changed I wasn't aware of it.
-
CM:BB is CM2. CM II is the engine rewrite that will come later. CM2/CM:BB is scheduled to be released when it is done. So far there is no reason to believe that BTS won't be able to keep to that schedule. [ February 21, 2002, 02:06 PM: Message edited by: Pvt. Ryan ]

Real life gamey recon, Belgium Jan 15, 1945
Pvt. Ryan replied to CMplayer's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Maybe I should have called paras crewing a tank "lifey" i.e. taking adavantage of a flaw in Real Life that enables you to do something that you couldn't do in CM. -

Pvt. Ryan replied to CMplayer's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Isn't this a passage from Burgett's "Seven Roads to Hell"? I believe the paratroopers found an abandoned Sherman in working order and crewed it themselves (gamey). They kept it attached to their unit as long as they could. I don't remember if it was destroyed while in their care or if they had to turn it over to the armored combat command. -
Something's Rotten in the State of Oregon
Pvt. Ryan replied to Croda's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Croda is obviously a newbie who doesn't know how to pick an historcic force selection. -
How do you backup your computer?
Pvt. Ryan replied to karch's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
I have a small amount of critical data at work, so I back it up with a ZIP Disk. It's easy to copy and paste the appropriate folders. -
Gamespy interview with BTS about CMBB
Pvt. Ryan replied to Tiger's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hide your Kubelwagons, the Russian tanks are coming!!! It looks like NVidia has timed the release of the GeForce 4 to coincide with the anticipated release of CMBB.
