BTS has already stated that CM3 will be the USA against Iraq. We're coming for you, buddy!!!* *Actually, they've said no such thing. CM3 will be the Mediterranean/North Afrika and CM4 will be the early war years on the Western Front. BTS will redo the game engine at some point, most likely before CM3 is done. After CM4 BTS expects to revisit the Western Front as modelled in CMBO using the new game engine. (I may have confused the order a bit, so sue me.)

I can't believe this thread is still open. Is BTS closed for the long weekend? Actually, I was just checking here to see if there was an announcement of CMBB's release.

Hopefully it will not remain a fantasy.

By the way, Lee, the reason for Super Ted's posts are to let us know about new stuff posted at CMHQ, hence the title "CMHQ Update." He wants us to go to CMHQ to read more about it and to find the links to whatever the new item is. I always think to myself, "Thanks for the udate Ted, but why didn't you just post the damned link so I can get there sooner!" But that is not what the update is about, as Ted wants us to go to CMHQ first, which is fine by me.

I don't remember the programs I had to shut down, but if you are at all familiar with the programs that are normally running, the ones you need to shut down are fairly obvious. There may also be more than one instance of a program running, so you would need to shut each of them down. If you aren't sure, restart your computer, hit Alt-Ctrl-Del and make a note of what is normally there. Then install the rulesets. The first one should work fine, while the rest may give you problems. If so, shut down the problem programs and proceed with the next ruleset. Also, restarting your computer after each ruleset would also accomplish this, but would be a bit more tedious.

I am running Win98SE. I uninstalled CMMOS 3.0 before installing 3.02, and then installed the rule sets. I don't think I did anything wrong, but you never know.

I had some trouble installing the Rule Sets. The first one installed just fine, but the others didn't actually install although the self extracting programs did "self extract." After installing them all (or so I thought), when I ran CMMOS only the first rule set I installed actually worked. I had to manually shut down several programs started by the installer via Alt-Ctrl-Del. Then I launched the next Rule Set installer, which worked, but then I had to manually shut it down again before installing the next rule set. I did this for each rule set and they all work fine now.

Hello and welcome aboard. Many of us have been playing CM for nearly two years or more and we haven't gotten tired of it yet. CM:BO is finished and there will be no more patches. The latest version is 1.12 and should be the version on your CD. BTS is working on the next edition, Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin, which will take place on the Eastern Front. The game should be out sometime this summer or fall. If you need some help with CM, just go to this thread and ask the nice people all the questions you want. Just be sure to say "pretty please." I tried that one before and Madmatt wasn't too happy about it. Too many people acutally believed it.

We need CM:BB now. I've even resorted to playing CC3 to get my Ruski fix.

I'm putting together a list of cheat codes and easter eggs for CMBB. It should be done soon.
