1.12 does improve the situation, but tanks can still be distracted by distant or relatively unharmful threats. Buttoning up may help keep your tanks pointed in the right direction since they might not see distant targets that are shooting at them. Of course, that reduces your forward visability as well.

If you guys are really interested in Santa Monica, here is the Santa Monica Airport website, with a link to the museum and info on the restaurants. -

What can damage buildings?
Pvt. Ryan replied to Ace Pilot's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
That church was probably on the verge of collapse, and the small blast from the shrek pushed it over the edge. The resulting nuclear explosion must have made the skrek appear to be an uberrocketlauncher. Does anyone know if BTS has plans to change the building explosions for CMBB? -

Chino? Isn't that where the state prison is? Are you sure you can get away? -

I vote for the Museum of Flying at the Santa Monica Airport. -
Wouldn't it be cool if CM had...
Pvt. Ryan replied to CMplayer's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I remember the first time I came across Amazon.com was when I was doing a search on Amazons. Wouldn't it be cool if CM:BB had... been released by now? -
Please Help me with CMMOS Use?
Pvt. Ryan replied to cyberized's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
All of the bmp files go in the CMBO\BMP folder. The files are named so that CMMOS can use them. They don't overwrite any of the standard CMBO files. When you use CMMOS it loads in the mods you select and CMBO remembers those selections until you change them. Adding mods to CMMOS is easy, unless you are adding a whole new category that has new rulesets. Adding new rulesets can be a little confusing, but each new version of CMMOS incorporates any new rulesets that may have been released since the prior version. The new veriosn we are waiting for should make things easier and I think it also supports sound mods as well. -

Medal of Honour or Iron Cross
Pvt. Ryan replied to SuperSulo's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
People, get off my case. I found those pictures in a hurry. There is only so much searching I can do when I am wasting time at work. -

Print out these images, cut out the medals, and tape them to your monitor when you feel a particular soldier is deserving: -
Burying a settler would be outside the scope of CM:OT. I'm not sure of the quote you are thinking of, but there is this one: "A watched Madmatt never toils." It means: leave them alone so they can work on CM:BB.

Advance Copies of CMBB to Webmasters?
Pvt. Ryan replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
So which would you rather have - a buggy and incomplete CMBB beta a few months early, or the complete and absolutely perfect gold version some time in the future? OK, OK, you don't need to answer that. -
Does CMBO let you buy the Hotchkiss in the winter?

Does armor abruptly stop in CMBB?
Pvt. Ryan replied to AnonymousOxide's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
It might not be realistic, but what if they coded it so that all vehicles took a few feet (the same distance) to decellerate when stopping so that they don't appear to stop on a dime? -
Advance Copies of CMBB to Webmasters?
Pvt. Ryan replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
What about people with two eyes? Wouldn't BTS want to let people with two eyes preview CMBB to make sure it appears on the screen properly to people who don't have one or three eyes? -
Suomi vai englanti? Vain suomalaisille!
Pvt. Ryan replied to Moon's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I think I just voted for horses and motorcycles in CMBB. -
This has been brought up before, and most people who still do it do it as a joke. That's why there is usually a smiley after the question. I find it particularly amusing when the picture is focused in on the mod and the grass is just a blur.

Unit bases are of different colors according their setup zone at the start of a scenario. Once you start the scenario they all change to the color representative of the units' nationality. These colors are hard coded and cannot be changed.

sadness... oh, my CMBO where have you gone...
Pvt. Ryan replied to caligula_jones's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I don't think BTS has any problem with us making a backup copy for personal use, but I know they don't like any discussion of how to make copies.
