I was a mod whore for CMBO and CMBB, but I play CMAK almost unmodded. I'm pretty sure I am using the stock grass.

You could do a mod that plasters "Property of Bovington Tank Museum" on all the vehicles. That would make CM look more modern.

You are going too be disappointed. Battlefront prides themselves on the historical accuracy of their games, thus no "what if" scenarios of the type you describe. CMAK features the units that would be found in the North African/Mediterranean theaters. You can roughly simulate Western Front combat as most of the vehicles that were present there are also in CMAK and the terrain is close enough. CM mods are only graphic modifications; you can't add vehicles or change the performance of units. That said, the CM series is the best tactical WWII simulation ever made for the computer. Give it a chance and you will be hooked.
