P O S S I B L Y * G A M E Y * S P O I L E R Once you get your tanks close enough you can rush them at the gun positions and overrun them. The Italian guns surrender as soon as the Matildas get within a few feet. Very few of the guns are capable of penetrating the Matildas from the front.

Someone please do a mod that will let me read this text! There is something wrong here. Some posts are in the normal font while others are in micro font. Increasing the font to make the small text readible makes the normal text huge. BFC please fix! Or do somefink!

S P O I L E R * * * I tried levelling the tall buildings in my last go at Line of Defense, but the sharpshooter survived and still took out a few TCs. Taking out the church certainly made things easier though.

I don't think it is realistic due to time and ammo constraints, but at the same time I don't see it as gamey. Levelling buildings doesn't take advantage of a flaw or limitation in the game engine, other than stractegic use of tall buildings is not a concern in the game since stand alone scenarios have no effect on future combat (except in operations). If you have a small number of buildings to destroy it is a usefull tactic, but if you are attacking a town it is not practical, just like in real life. I would think a real army on the advance would try to capture tall buildings intact to put to their own use, rather than level them as a precaution.

I don't think BFC had sufficient data to do the US portraits. (OK, do I even need a smiley here?)

Do you have the Audie Murphy setting on? I haven't seen either of the issues you mention, but I thought I would give your post a bump (even though it was at the top of the forum).

That sounds like a Pentium Challenge.

Why not post a schedule in advance based on the included scenarios. You could leave a few gaps for some of the user created scenarios that people have an itch to play.

I seem to recall that when CMBB first came out it shipped a few days before the "deadline". I think BFC gives a date such as 12/5 with some cushion built in in case there are delays. It's possible that CMAK will start shipping before 12/5 (unless BFC says otherwise:) ).

The few times I have played this scenario as the Germans the P-51 arrives in the first five turns or so and attacks the StuH or the IG. I finally played it as the Americans and the P-51 didn't show up until about turn 40 and it bracketed the Tiger with rockets, but didn't damage it. A couple of turns later it came back to strafe and shocked the Tiger with its side armor facing towards me. The two M10s on the hill got off a couple of shots each and KO'd the Tiger. The German's surrendered a couple of turns later.
