  1. Yeah I wonder if I can climb a single Arty guy up that steeple for a nice look see. Shell magnet though I am sure.
  2. I think what you are saying here is that if your German MG guy is hit you want the rest of the squad to immediatly pick up the MG FIRST and use it BEFORE they start to give buddy aid? I AGREE!!!!
  3. Nawwwww.... Physics are physics. A BMP-1 in motion tends to stay in motion.... Doesnt really matter how it was knocked out. If its doing 30 KPH it will continue to do so...
  4. It was going full boar when I hit it and it rolled maybe 2 to 3 hull lengths. I think tracked vehicles slow very rapidly IRL so this seems accurate to me. <Shrugs>
  5. Did GI's ever really scavenge panzerfausts? I have never heard of this and I wonder if it happened....in a documented fasion. I mean that I never read about it despite my rather large WWII book collection.
  6. Thanks.... For including close combat (abstracted). For including flammers and fires in future additions. For onboard indirect fire. For individual nic-knacks on tanks. For FOW trenches. For water cooled MG's that fire long bursts. I could go on.
  7. I think this is not accurate. When a vehicle bogs....just leave it alone. It will either unbog or get immobilized by itself. Nothing you do will influence this as far as I can tell.
  8. I am telling you that just last night my M1 knocked out a full speed BMP-1A and it rooled a short while before it came to a stop.
  9. I hope vehicle pushing will get in there ASAP. I dont want my knocked out jeep blocking a chokepoint that all my shermans have to go through. MAN.....I just remembered the Alpha Battle AAR! Before we had vehicle pushing in CMBO. That exact thing happened and, if I remember correctly, one guy lost access to 6 or 7 vehicles! Also......vehicles do continue to roll after being knocked out. I just saw it. Not a super long way but they do roll.
  10. I own both. I love both. I prefer the M-16 to the AK. The M-16 is just as reliable. You can put it in mud as long as you want and it will function just fine. Same with the AK. Both great but I just like and trust the M-16 more. FWIW Sorry....off topic.
  11. But hand to hand fighting (abstracted) is in there.
  12. Does anyone know if there is a "global moral" like in CMBO? What I am asking is does is become easier to get enemy units to "!" out of the game if, say, I have killed 50% of the entire force on the map? I always found this to be a great way to simulate the "momentum" of violence of action. or with the new C2 system that was introduced with CM:SF is global moral gone?
  13. I believe modders will make short work of all uniforms....if that is your thing.
  14. YURRRREEEEKKKAAAAA! He speaks! So we can charge an enemy when we are out of ammo and still get kills via (abstracted) hand to hand combat? That is wonderful!!!! Forget the stupid anamations!!! and when you say that "close combat will be improved for CM:BN" I am not sure what you mean because CM:SF had none at all. I guess you mean close combat will be introduced in CM:BN?
  15. I would take the abstracted with sound effects and be VERY happy. Anything is better than nothing.
  16. I was checking out screenshots again and saw a little something you might be interested in: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=276&Itemid=460 Check out the truck on the left. I cant be 100% sure but it looks like it might be towing a gun. Sorry...link takes you to TO&E. Look at the second pic in the first group. Panzergrenadier Mot Bat. Also...look at the truck way in the back (the one full of troops). It looks like it has a gun in tow as well.
  17. I was looking at the screenshots AGAIN and I saw that the GI's carry Bayonets! Is this a clue about hand to hand???? Hmmmm.....probably not because that would require an animation of them fixing the boyonet and I am sure that is not in there.
  18. I remember back with CMBO/BB/AK you could set up a battery of AT guns in a woods line and they would be almost invisible until they fired. Great for ambushes. Are we going to see the same stealth in CM:BN?
  19. Flammers were my favorite for dislodging that stubborn SMG squad that was burried deep in a house.
  20. Hmmmmm....I wonder if Steve wont answer this because he is saving it for a surprise? What a wonderful gift that would be.
  21. When BFC does get around to creating them lets hope they dont make the damage model like the "Super Heavy Duty Pickups" from CMSF! 100 Rounds of 7.62 to the front and it still runs! HA!
  22. It would seem to me that it would be on the list of new things and that they would want to advertise it. Alas...it is not.
  23. Dont know. They have not answered that one yet.
