It fully involved on Donbas, where the war has more "traditional" form. It involved in Sumy oblast and Kharkiv - Russian BTGs in Trostianets and Rohan' were defeated not with lihgt infantry (though with their assist). Our "line troops" too busy to make footage, also a censorship there is more tough than in volunteers/TD and Azov, which since 2014 have made PR for itself. You can see Oryx about our losses, we lost about 70 tanks. So, they in fight.

For the sake of discussion... He makes it sound plausible enough and who knows maybe he is right but my questions are how would russia achieve these goals now that a very large chunk of their forces have been destroyed?  If the article is correct, russia committed an awful lot to something they didn't really want.  Also, re the energy resources, the invasion has pushed most of russia's energy clients away to either source them from elsewhere or accelerate towards green energy.  Russia can only have energy dominance if it has countries worth dominating to sell energy to.

Got from another board.  Was posted as a response to us wondering how did it come to this.  It's a lecture about the evolution and nature of what you could I suppose call the russian national psyche and how that is playing into the decisions that have been made to get us to where we are today.   I don't know enough to critique his analysis but I will say I found it quite interesting.

Ukr troops are now in full controll of M-03 road section Kharkiv - Chuhuiv (20 km SE from Kharkiv). But this is twitetr info, not confirmed officially for now

Not sure we've seen this one already but at the 35 second mark you see a union jack patch on one of the guys and the guy next to him on the left looks like he might be holding a digital camera with a furry mic
 

Hardly surprising, I don't think they're seriously negotiating at all, just going through the motions to keep up appearances so they can say they're doing it (as per usual). As most of us have been saying from the beginning without something miraculous its a lose/lose situation for russia.  Like just about everything in this stupid episode they've adroitly painted themselves into a corner with nothing left besides channelling J Goebbles and keep on lying.

I tend to agree in so far as the failings are nearly entirely due to human factors - poor leadership, tactics, morale, vehicle maintenance (including lack of things due to corruption) etc etc.  I think the Russian kit is serviceable enough, it's the people that have failed so miserably at either using or supporting it.  Edit - if you mean it's not on par with the latest western gear then yeah I tend to agree with that too.

Brief news from our twitetrs and media:
- Reportedly whole Mykolaiv oblast liberated from Russians. Ukarinan troops also liberated the second settlement in Kherson oblast - Novovorontsovka village on the administrative boundary of Kherson and Dnipro oblasts. There are clashes for libaration of Stanislav and Blahodatne villages of Kherson oblast
 - Ukrainain troops are fighting for liberation of Trostianets town in Sumy oblast 
- Russian troops bypassed Izium town from SW side and crosses Siverskyi Donets river through pontoons. Their main part of forces was hit by artilelry fire and partilly destroyed near Topolske village (5km south from Izium). Now fighting is ongoing to throw down them to the river from their bridghead
- Kyiv direction: Russians activated warfare, they launched shellings and attack on Makariv town and forced our troop to withdraw from there, but Russians couldn't hold a ground and now Makariv is "gray zone". Also Russians shelled our troops in Irpin' and Liutizh NW and N from Kyiv and try to advance in Irpin' (they still control about 20% of the town)
- Zaporizhzhia oblast: Malynivka village liberated (12 km east from Huliaypole town - the center of defense on Zaporizhzhia direction)  

This story is a bit sentimental but it does appear to indicate a fairly static situation east of Kharkiv.  Also the first time I've seen an automatic grenade launcher

The loses on these sites get counted based on the visual evidence uploaded to the internet.  So he(she) may well be counting something that was destroyed or filmed a few weeks/days ago but only now been uploaded.  I read a tweet that said he spent some time yesterday catching up on the UKR loses. So, for what it's worth, I don't think you can necessarily say lost in just a single day.  That doesn't change the sentiment that the RF appears to be losing a awful lot of equipment.

Mariupol is in ruins and I regret I never had the chance to visit south coast of Ukraine. The greek community there dates from the ancient times, and expanded after the fall of Constantinople and Byzantium from people that fled the ottoman purges. So much history lost in a few weeks, so sad. I wonder how trapped people there can still cope with no water, food or heating. The greek consul there was the last EU diplomat to leave Ukraine, and he compared Mariupol to cities that were wiped out from war, like Guernica, Aleppo Grozny, Stalingrad...

Whatever victory parade Ukraine holds in Kiev MUST included a company of tractors pulling captured RUS vehicles.
It would tie in perfectly into the whole humour/mocking aspect of Ukrainian resistance, which has been deeply inspiring.

I think the Nato response to a Russian tactical nuclear strike in Ukraine would be to immediately implement a no-fly zone and a warning that any further ABC attacks would be met with strikes against Russian forces inside Ukraine.
I don't see Nato responding with nuclear weapons unless Russia strikes a Nato member country.
