  1. The question is too subjective. A definition of 'good' as it pertains to the question would need to be defined. Even then I'd be hard pressed to put good in a tag line against either Stalin or Hitler's regimes (unless it was to describe how good they were at being a-holes to common people). -F
  2. Good idea. :thumbs up emoticon: -F
  3. I think you install the modules and then re-install the 2.12 upgrade at the end to ensure everything is brought back up to the latest version. Someone who knows for sure will probably be along shortly. -F
  4. Nice list. I agree with quite a few of his picks. -F
  5. Google et al doesn't mean squat if what's used in the game is different. At least with CM1 the values given show what's being used in the game irrespective of whether the data is 100% accurate. -F
  6. Ahhh, deployment anxiety, I know thee well. I find the hardest part of the game is setting up/deploying. Often puts me off too. -F
  7. The game will remain fundamentally flawed until we see those flaming Russian assault troops we saw in that recent Stalingrad movie. We got flames now so no more excuses. -F
  8. Yes been asking for a long while, lets see if we get any traction I had a similar idea long ago as well. Build a force you want and save it. Import said force as part of your points buy at the start of a QB. As long as the date set on the scenario is after the current 'time stamp' on the battle group. After the fight the core units can be exported for the next QB with the their total point value recalc'd. Maybe allow editing to allow for replacements/upgrades? (Basically something to help run an ROCQ style campaign in CM2) Persistent damage would be cool too, saving the 'map' at the end of a battle would be a pretty cool way to do that. Along similar lines was wondering the other day with the skin tags and/or hit decals that have been mentioned could one be setup for vehicles that's allows for burn-out hull skin to be applied through the editor? Place Panther, make it so it can't move, set skin to destroyed. -F
  9. Looks very nice. Will give it a try. -F
  10. Excellent, never seen that before. Very interesting. Thanks F
  11. Is this one coming in a tin case a la CMBN? Might have to get a physical copy if that be the case (haha). -F
  12. Yeah mostly played on random maps in CM1 too. Terrain, trees, water. Would be a very nice start cor CM2... And for rural evirons, eg Ost Front, might be all you need Whilst we're dreaming and pulling stuff out of thin air, how's about bringing back Operations? Huh? Come on, you know it'd be awesome... So how about it? -F
  13. Read this and following 2 posts from page 11 of this thread http://www.battlefront.com/community/showpost.php?p=1497626&postcount=105 Might explain it. -F
  14. Maybe this one from Rambler might help... http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5069/details Pic http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5069?view_type=preview Think it's only for the vanilla grass texture though. Not tried it myself. I too dislike the way the board sits currently. -F
  15. Lol, so many questions What service branches will be covered in the German ToE? Thanks! -F
  16. Just wondering. IIRC CM1 had a smattering of them. Thanks -F
  17. Cool, no surprises in those answers. Pretty sure we'll be busy enough on the EF for a long time anyway. All good.
  18. Been away for a bit, apologies if I'm getting ahead of myself... Has there been any comment on if/when the new features will be added to CMBN and CMFI? Thanks -F
  19. Excellent. I agree, many things we've been asking for and look at that equipment list. -F
  20. I'm more interested in stuff burning and the smoke it produces and how those things affect the battlefield than flame throwing weapons TBH. -F
  21. Fire and smoke for confusion, obstacle and assault weapon. -F
  22. Great to see EF, obviously really looking forward to it. For the obligatory 'more' question... Any word on fire/burning buildings? Am hoping fire can come soonish. Burning villages to deny cover is something I've read about often enough. I also reckon we need a lot more smoke on CM battlefields. Thanks -F
