From the new soon to be released updated Tech FAQ: Problem: Video Card is a Nvidia based one (Geforce, Geforce II etc..) and in-game text is blurry or flickering. Cause/Solution: This issue appears in various Nvidia reference drivers including the newest 12.xx based Detonator 3 drivers. Older 6.50 based drivers seem to work better. Changing the level of Full Screen Anti-Aliasing (sometimes turning it off all together) will also resolve this issue. Finding these drivers (the 6.50 ones) can sometimes be an exercise in futility but start at www.reactorcritical.com Madmatt

Actually Charles and I were discussing this issue over the weekend and we are going to be doing some testing (okay basically its going to be just me) on a possible workaround which could be easily implemented. The problem IS Nvidias, we know that. Apparently the Geforce 3 on the Mac is having a problem loading the sky texture which is also the largest texture in the game. We are going to see if smaller sky textures make any difference. If anyone wants to help (they need to be suffering this problem) than please email me and I will give you more details on what needs to be done. Thanks! Madmatt

CM will run in any resolution that you can get your desktop to run in. If your video card can hack it, CM can hack it. Just set your desktop to whatever you want, delete the Combat Mission Bynd Ovr Prefs file and relaunch the game. Your all set. Madmatt

Okay, our stance on depictions of dead bodies is reptty well established and we have no desire to change that. I will pass on the idea to make the Eliminated Unit graphic modable but since it uses the existing uniform style I seriously doubt that will make it in. As to the rest of the tons of this post, well its pretty irrelevant, a dull read and I am going to flex a little Admin muscle and close it all down as its all been hashed over before in some of the earlier dead body threads from last year. It's a new one for me. Just make 100% certain that your opponent is sending you the correct files. Sometimes I have seen people get confused and send the wrong files to the wrong opponents. Madmatt
