  1. Excellent. I'm surprised they took a check. Or indeed that BoA would need to write one. Pay up, sucker!
  2. Yup. Doesn't matter where in Europe, it is a level fee. I can well imagine that makes it easier on everyone to understand what is what. Think of it this way, your $20 shipping (and handling!) is in effect subsidizing the shipping for some poor fecker on the Shetland Islands. Which is really nice of you.
  3. I guess they got stuck with reviewing the release version so it'll take a bit for reviews to come in. Since BFC aren't fighting for retail space I guess they don't really mind having their reviews come in at a more leisurely pace.
  4. Bwahahaha. Awesome. Though the amount of casualties in the HTs suggests the game assumes the bursting charge went off with every hit. No way an AP round merely passing through should take out just about every occupant inside a HT. Oh heck, I doubt a 75mm AP shell could wipe out all inside if one detonated.
  5. Pretty much, yeah. I think combat is too lethal in most circumstances, in particular anything shot out of a cannon or large tube being exceedingly deadly.
  6. KR, As I understand it units won't give ammo to other units that are running low, but will allow them to use their ammo if they are nearby enough. So low on ammo unit B will fire unit A's plentiful ammunition without it ever appearing in unit B's inventory. Did this not happen either?
  7. After careful study of the accompanying pics, I can safely say this did not happen.
  8. I am shocked Jev.dk hasn't come here to brag on his launch. Well done Sir! Well done!
  9. They will chuck demo charges as well. Best tried in the Silence the Guns: Brecourt Manor scenario.
  10. Nah, that will never happen in our lifetime. That's great for the Panther Games series where the units are abstracted but when you see the units 1:1 you will see in excruciating detail too many units doing dumb stuff far too often. Heck, especially in CMSF there was the complaint that there was too much dumb stuff happening witrh a human at the helm. Not sure where that is in regards to, but people are very much free to share ideas. Dunno why you feel you shouldn't. They even allow the Peng thread (don't look!!!!!!) so you should feel free to post anything that might be considered relevant here, or off topic in the General Forum.
  11. Just via this website. Don't worry, the commotion was because of the pre-order edition that shipped from the US. The regular game should ship from within the EU (Germany, in fact) and thus avoid all the troubles.
  12. With that main question answered, let me voice my surprise that the modelling of two separate divisions is described as "only these two units". Yeah, what is a division or two between friends, eh? Could you give me only two Ferraris?
  13. Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I cannot make sense of the image otherwise.
  14. Lots of good footage I hadn't seen before. Note also the M3 Lee making an appearance.
  15. That denotes captured troops being removed from the game.
  16. I think Emrys is mistaken. We used to be able to do that but not with the new forum. Your best bet is to ask Moon. You should probably PM him.
  17. Mwahahaha. Well, that taught me a new German word.
  18. IN CMBN yeah. But on occasion Shermans were sporting a pintle mounted .30 cal instead of the .50. Only this week a photograph of one got posted in a thread here. And lets not forget those weird hull mounted fixed .30 in early US tanks.
  19. If BFC ever do bother to put in melee animations: exactly like that, please!
  20. I assume they didn't have the time to do them, what with these guns requiring separate animations. I like to see them too and fully expect that we will, in due course. They don't need to do any AA work as far as I am concerned even though that would've been cool. But for a ground combat sim not essential.
  21. I dunno. Big Sherman behind low bocage and the odd bush and tree. Would not seem to be totally unspottable to me.
  22. I reckon it is the partially obscured building flaw. If you cannot see the centre of a building you can, sadly, kiss targeting it goodbye. You should still be able to target troops that are visible inside it, but the building itself cannot be fired upon.
  23. As I understand it only pre-orders are shipped from US to EU. Normal purchases go forth from a German warehouse.
