I for one wasn't bothered about the higher price of the BF version, but i was slightly maddened that when my copy arrived the case was very badly damaged. The only thing that prevented the disc from being snapped was, ironically the larger manual.

I know the UK postal service isn't what it used to be regarding how they treat the mail, but it was only shipped in a jiffy bag which hardly offered much protection.

I think they are concerned about the fact that the game is bargain bin cheap only two months or so after it's release, which means it is not doing well.

Actually the world has never been more alike than ever before, and getting more so - especially in cities. Clothes are pretty much the same, music is pretty much the same, food is getting more similar and the list goes on. Despite the usual diatribes here, politically things are also getting closer too. The urban world is heading for homogeneity and the rest will follow on in time.

Anyhow, on topic - I preordered the game, but from Play for just 20e. Not too expensive but I have to wait for couple of patches to see if it was worth it.

Oh and the "You have no right to complain about prices or product value, just get better paying jobs" was hilarius line of argument, thanks for the laughs.

Wow, flame on. Some guys on here need to leave their basements once in a while.

I don't care what anyone thinks really as I feel ripped for a game that was unfinished and overpriced (but I paid it because I believe(d) in BF and didn't think I had an option besides online). It is still on my HD, but only because I have ample space as I don't play it anymore. The pathfinding is as bad or worse than the Close Combat games, and that's inexcusable in 2007. Also, the interface isn't even as good as CMBB (why can't I drag waypoints anymore?!).

As an aside, I would have much rather seen a 'fictional' setting such as an 80's Cold War game which would have been far more balanced and entertaining, but methinks the terrain modelling required made a flat, barren desert game much more appealing to BF. Light the torch...

People do not need to get a job, they need to get a life.

Being between the crass comercialism of the USA and the welfare state of Europe (maybe with the worst of both worlds) I would say both areas have something going for them.

I believe in national health care (most people do not choose to be sick) but open markets (if you do not want to be a farmer or do not like the pay in your job - change jobs - take that Common Agriculture policy)

I do not feel like I have over paid for CMSF. This is a good game and I will get hours of enjoyment out of it as time goes on. I only paid about 5 cents per hour of enjoyment for CMBB/CMAK (and that is having bought 3 copies of each just to give away). I am also sure their was bitching and moaning when CMBO was released.

I have paid good money for games that I thought were absolute crap and yet I have never gone on their forums and complained. In 20 years you will not even remember writing your diatribe let alone feel bad about the money you spent.
