BUYER BEWARE...you may have overpaid!

I lived in London, so I don't think that way Oh, like the fact that the UK has national health but the ambulance drivers were able to go on strike for the better part of a year. Not much good comes of health coverage if you die in a taxi cab on the way to the hospibal Hertston, Thanks for the explanation! I knew the Channel Islands were unique under British law, but until you just said this I didn't understand why. I'm just surprise it took this long to go after them seeing as the British government has spent so much time hunting down "pirate radio" broadcasters and people who haven't paid their tele tax Steve </font> -
Is CM:SF fundamentally flawed ??
fritzthemoose replied to Manx's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
That's the main problem that a lot of people have been complaining about. The shift towards greater 1:1 detail in CMSF, while it may be visually more realistic, creates unrealistic results. In a game, it's the behavior of units and the results of player actions that really matter. [/QB]</font> -

LOL This is so funny. I don't have anything at all about games on Fourth Reich between some other ragheads but you must realise that we don't have HISTORICAL DISTANCE like in WW2 case. So spare me your pathetic tirrade. Why we don't have anything against Third Reich games? Just because this historical distance is there. And I didn't made up lousy sales in Europe of CM: SF. Politics aside. Hmmm...somehow I see "locked thread" sign in a distance Star Buddy, Give it up. Not having a point and speaking lousy English is another handicap. Maybe you should learn Arabic. Better yet read, "America Alone" by Mark Stein, if you people aren't burning copies of it yet. </font> -

oh yes all those idiotic customers all the time. they are just a pain in the ass. Why they dont just buy whatever we sell them and pay whatever we charge them. There should be a law for that. Good thinking. So the only thing i have to do is open a small underfunded company and I can sell any crap i want. Or did i miss something here. so they compete with product quality and reputation. so i sincerely congratulate for the great product quality of cmsf and the reputation it will build. oh yes the idiotic masses again that really expect value for money. its really a shame

i think my enjoyment of CMSF is starting to drop

if u want to establish a strategy or tatctics u need the possibility to start out of sight of your opponent. of course if u like a slugfest out of the setup zones cm1 will not do it -
T-55 and T-62 vs Abrams M1A2
fritzthemoose replied to Juergen2SSDR's topic in CMSF Strategy and Tactics Forum
of course they do how else would u balance a scen against the ai? nobody ever looses a game against the ai because of its superior tactics and logical thinking. u loose because the scen is tweaked towards the ai. they can easier kill u than u can kill them -
also against a human opponent or just against an incapable ai

Combat Mission: Gold
fritzthemoose replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
i am sticking with the reviews and they claim the that game from 86 was much superior to the latest one. in fact the currant one should be full of bugs lasts only for a short time and as u said very expensive -

hell no he should concentrate on pitching. as long as he gives up 5 in 6ip he has a computer ban as far as i am concerned </font> -

according to some stuff i found on the net the m1 protection level is less than leopard II, challanger and some other western ones. as for the russians it looks like their armour overall is a little bid less but they do have a much lower siluette.

thats a very good point here. the game was not only designed for a different customer group with regards to rt but also for people who play vs the ai and not vs humans. playing mainly or only vs the ai, im my personal opinion, means that u dont really look for a real challange or realistic behavior because u know that u cannot get it. its a simple fact that no computer in the world is able to create an ai even remotly close to the human brain. it does has its merrits tho. u dont have to set time aside for a tcip nor do u have to sit around and wait for turn. u can simply fire up the game whenever u like and play. -
Hmm... ok, that makes a bit more sense, but given that we hopefully won't be fighting the French, the Brits, the Isrealis or the Germans, I hope it doesn't matter </font>

the german wikipedia claims that it is possible to penetrate the front armour with an at-4 more often than not

fritzthemoose replied to fritzthemoose's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I guess that depends on what problems are just bugs and can be fixed and which ones are designrelated and cannot be fixed -
I think they did not only compare against the russian and chinese tanks but also against the Leopard, Leclerce, Challanger Typ-90 Merceva and so on
-
in the german wikipedia it says Mit seinem Schutzniveau ist der M1A2 mittlerweile als veraltet anzusehen. translated by now the protection level of the m1a2 has to be considered obsolete
