Sgt Joch
screenshot? -please, pretty please, before the forum spins into a black hole. I think we have said all there is to say about 5.56 v. 7.62 ammo... steps away from the keyboard...
SgtMuhammed
I guess we could get into the numerology. Which one is the "better" number 5.56 or 7.62?
Gryphon
Well, after watching Full Metal Jacket, i'd say 7.62mm rolls off' the tongue far better The scene wouldn't have been half as impressive if Pyle said 5.56, now would it? juan_gigante
I think that 7.62 looks cooler. The way the diagonal line in the seven and the curve on the left side of the six kind of go up together has always caught my eye. Plus, 5.56 has all those fives. I mean, come on!
M1A1TC
Hey, its almost 2006! Can we please have something new before the next year?
Colin
Okay but the real question is... is it .223 or 5.56? .303 or 7.62? EDIT: No but seriously, how about a screenshot of you not giving us screenshots? Charles in action. Anything.......arrrrrrrrgh. SgtMuhammed
I don't know if seeing a jar sitting in front of a keyboard would really do much for the average CM'er. Maybe if they showed a couple beer cans floating around in his goo.
Battlefront.com
There's really not much more to SHOW in terms of screenshots now as there was two months ago. Charles has been busy working on things you can't see, like missile systems, mortar fire, vehicle driving AI, UI coding, vehicle systems, etc. And while Charles has been doing this we've had KwazyDog and Fernando (our two artists) working on DropTeam and Strategic Command 2. So screenshots that show progress really aren't to be had, although tons of progress is being made. Steve

MikeyD
If no pictures show us some of Charles' hard coding then! 000011001110011100101110001110111010101111001110011100111000001100111001110010111000111011101010111100111001110011100000110011100111001011100011101110101011110011100111001110000011 001110011100101110001110111010101111001110011100111000001100111001110010111000111011101010111100111001110011100000110011100111001011100011101110101011110011100111001110000011001110 01110010111000111011101010111100111001110011100000110011100111001011100011101110101011110011100111001110

Actually that was an even number somewhere around 150 digits long in decimal. In fact it also contains the digits 762 and 556.

Battlefront.com
Are you still using drunken, nearsighted, demolition derby drivers as the standard?I dunno, but I don't think those guys are in CM:SF. When I check it out for myself I'll make a detailed report to you guys. I think you'll like some of the other improvements, besides the new ignition sobriety testers installed in every vehicle Steve
Renaud
A pic of charles coding, wearing a santa outfit, or at least the hat, would be suitable.

M1A1TC
I found a new screenshot! Thats my Extra Sharp Edges Rock Mod. And here is another one. I really like the amount of detail the BFC team are putting into this game. Pvt. Ryan
The low res sky in the second picture looks like crap. I'm sure BFC will give us the lame "several generations old" excuse.
