Larsen
OK. Here is my tiny contribution to the tournament. I calculated the sum of the z-scores based on the Green as Jade data. Five players got positive scores in all their matches: Walpurgis Night, Larsen, Deadly 88, Heavy Drop and Enoch. The final standing will probably change after running the z-scores through the final stage of Nabla calculations that awards the steady perfomance over big wins. A big thank you to the organzers of the ROW tournament. (0 in the score column means that the results are not available for the selected player for that scenario). Edited. The data were supposed to be tab separated but somehow they came out space separated. It's a bit hard to read but if you copy them into Excell everything should get clear. Ted
Smack in the middle again. I should just change my name to "Average Joe" Thanks to all for putting on another great challenge. And thanks to my opponents for some great games. Now, where do I sign up for RoW-V?

PittPanther31
I'll be rooting for Nick, aka Deadly 88, in the final. He gave me quite the lesson. I'll be pulling for any of the other guys in our section as well who make it to the finals. Anyway, were do we sign up for ROW V? i.i.koshkin
Looks like I'm sitting around 55th and I'm happy as pie. I'm not sure how other replacements felt, but I found it difficult picking up somebody elses game in the middle. With the pressure to get things moving, my mind simply couldn't wrap itself around most of the scenarios until I started playing them for several turns or more. It's a big advantage to give up. This was particularly true of one scenario that I absolutely loathed the set-up the second I opened it. I saw a disaster in the making. Sure enough, Deadly88 layed a serious whooping on me that I'm still smarting from. I would like to thank Kingfish, Holien, SpanishBombs and anyone else responsible for putting on this ROW tournament. You can bet I'll be signed up for the next one! Finally a big thanks to my oppponents. They were a pleasure to play against - Brent, Strider, PittPanther, PantherCommander and Deadly88. iik

Holien
Good morning chaps.. This is the final list of people who have got all their AAR's to me for points to advance to the finals. (Some do not have full points.) You have until I get home tonight to lodge any appeals or update me. Once I am home (in about 12 hours time.) I will finalise the list for KF and that will be it. This way we can get on and announce who gets into the finals for the Wine. As mentioned previously if you want to tweak the AAR's for the AAR Prize then get in touch as you can have a bit more time for that. So if you are not on the list here I don't have AAR's from you, or you have failed to re-send them as a document. E-mails will not cut the Ice!! A big thank you to these guys for doing all the AAR's. CunzNG14 Victor Charlie John Kettler These gents have been able to pull two AAR's out of the bag: - Overkill Ankulin Von Lucke Finally by my reckoning these gents have put in a single AAR: - Nolloff Sripe If I have any of this wrong, or you are one of the players notified of 1/2 a point AAR you have 12 hours to e-mail me so I can consider where we go. This is the easy bit nearly over, during the course of the next few weeks we have to pull together a short list of the best and that is going to be fun.. Nabla
Nabla here, I got Kingfish's email concerning the scoring of this tournament. We're going to crunch those results and turn them into scores, no problem. Well, assuming that the tournament has a valid schedule (from the point of view of the scoring system) - I haven't seen the scoresheet yet. For your information, work is also under way to make the Nabla system very easy to use. I agree that if you're not familiar with command-line programs, the system as it is now is cumbersome to use. I have made an Excel wraparound the whole system, so that all scheduling and scoring can be done within a single Excel interface (spreadsheet). All that the tournament manager has to do is to type in a list of players, type in the results, and press a few buttons. No command-line hassles. The wraparound itself is ready, except for some cosmetics. What still has to be done is a small rewrite of the Nabla system programs themselves so that they can split players into sections automatically. This is not a difficult programming task, but it requires me to change the structure of the programs a bit. This is probably not something that I want to do during our short summer, so you will get the complete system in the autumn. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me via email.
