CMAKdb update.

I've updated my little site with a comments script.

So if you have any thoughts about a unit, historical info or just a good rant, don't hesitate to write it down.

I think that it will be of great help for noobs, (like me), when choosing units for a QB.

(Sorry for the shamless plug) ;)

Date of introduction is listed on Folkes site. On each unit. The Crusaders arrive in September 42 it says.

No date of departure from OOB though. Well, none that I saw just now anyway.

Dates on availability - appearing and disappearing - are listed for ammo types I see.

But what to comment? It's all there really. What more would a QB player consider valuable information Folke?

I for one would love to see comments along the lines of: "Usable in dence terrain but lack in ammo load out" "Fast and manouverable but a bit undergunned" "Avoid this crap despite the big gun" (could be a nashorn although it doesn't reflect my view on that part. unit) "Good bunker buster if you get it within reasonable range (maybe the AVRE?)"

BTW are there any restrictions on the pics (size, resolution, format)?

Thanks for the those words!

And no, just upload the pics in what size, res and format of choice. When uploaded a script will change it to the size that fits.

the excel chart for availability by country and date is at cmmods under my name or at band of brothers

Thanks found it, hunting down units to represent various French designs was getting repetitive!

This looks great. One feature I would love is the ability to compare units, that is pull up the stats for two or three units side by side on the screen. This would let you for example compare the differences between model varients or pull up vehicles from different sides to see how they match up. This is something that I use the scenario editor for today, but I find a hassle to have to.

Just a thought. Great site.

folke,

I also think this is a fantastic site. Great work and thanks! :D

I think Slappy has a good idea above if it can be easily implemented. If not, the viewer can do it himself by simply getting a new window in the browser, opening that new window to the site home, and finding the second unit--then set two windows side by side.

Something like an indication of cost for (say) regular units would be very helpful. I know costs sometimes vary slightly so finding a standard way of indicating that (say, just giving the cost at time of introduction and then indicating any SIGNIFICANT changes) would be very helpful. But again, only if this is easy and something you want to do.

I'll see if I can't make readable brief historical summaries for the German units.

That would be great Dandelion.

Looking forward to that, thanx!

No problem right? :D

If i had the cost it should be doable.

Mabye in the future smile.gif

But it would be a cool feature. :D

Folke, rather than clutter your message board, I just wanted to add my appreciation here for your fast attention to the 'latest post' facility which you have just placed on your site.

Everyone else, please get on over to this promising site. We've all got tons of CMAK experiences we can share.
