Tom TCMHQ
Just to proof I wasn´t lazy over the last few days Greek troops defend a cemetary ( the french forces will be modded as Greek troops. I found some nice references about Greek early WWII uniforms. Also all french voice files will be replaced by Greek ones ). The concrete wall on the pic is one of several to choose from in the final version. Just started to replace the Afrika Korps tanks with Panzergrau versions. Seems to be a lot of work... Close up on a PzKw III. The background shows my cheap trick to make the CM skyboxes seamless. German tanks in front of a Greek fortress. You can also see a new modded fence and replacement bitmaps for the soft ground ( looks like deep mud in the game ). Another shot of the fortress. It`s just an early sketch... the final version will look much more convincing. BTW: I have some nice ideas for special "fortress house rules" when playing human opponents As you can see , there´s much work left to be done. Finally: the new mod will not only work for pure "Greece" scenarios: I´ll try to keep the graphics as generic as possible , so you can also play " Malta " , " Crete " and even " Gibraltar " scenarios. Cheers Tom
Philippe
And I'm sure this mod will look fantastic with the Liberation of Toulon series. Is that a mediterranean pine that I see in those pictures?

John Kettler
Tom, Wow! You may be interested to know that, for a time at least, DAK armor sported panzer grau, not the familiar Sahara gelb so many take for granted. I absolutely agree with your decision to revert to the original standard Panzer paint scheme. Regards, John Kettler

Sequoia
Tom, your backgrounds look photo realistic. Are they taken from actual photos?
Juju
Wow, that fortress is an excellent touch/idea!
MikeyD
The fortress is one of those "Why didn't I think of that!" -type ideas, usually accompanied by a slap to the forehead. Absolutely brilliant! Not to mentioned the fantastic barbed wire fence and white stucco wall.

junk2drive
How's this coming Tom? Any of it in the Aussie version?
Hans
Hey Junk2Drive I have a Greek scenario about finished, April 1944 German anti-Partisan drive against the 2nd ELAS Division by the 845th German Arab Battalion. Even has (for your Pacific mods) a landing on the Gulf of Corinth...best yet its historical.
Emar
This mod wiil go great with my Istibei operation (#8 from the Gebirgs series). I used French troops in place of the Greeks back when I initialy released it so after adding the Greek conversion mod the scenario will be ready to rock. Thanks Tom, keep up the great work.

It's all Greek to me, lol. Who are these people?
Hans
Good people and bad people The 845th was a Battalion raised by the Germans out of various Arab groups, Iraqis, Palestinians, Algerians and Tunisians. It fought in Tunisia, Russia, Greece and at Berlin. I came across its story while researching AIW scenarios. Many of the Arab leaders in the 1948/56 wars had been in this unit. The ELAS were the Greek Communists, they would later fight the EDES in a civil war until 1949 - and yes a scenario is forth coming on that. Also in it are the Laocoon, pro-nazi Greeks and Italians fascists + a British SOE operative with a radio....
Hans
The Greek scenario is finished now finished if you'd like to try the Mods on it. Small Battles, Arab 845th BN, 1944 Anti-guerilla sweep aided by pro-fascists Greeks against communist ELAS fighters on the coastline of the Gulf of Corinth.
