CMBN Battle Pack 2 - Utah Beach is now available!!!

Recommended Posts

We are thrilled to announce that CMBN's 2nd Battle Pack, Utah Beach is available for immediate purchase!

We've gone off our normal release policy and are releasing this to coincide with an historical date, the 80th anniversary of the Allied D-Day landings in Nortwestern France. To further go off our normal release policy we will also be offereing it with a 10% discount for a very limited time (think days, not weeks)

This has been a labor of love, lead by Chad ( @Ithikial_AU), that includes 3 campaigns, 8 stand alone scenarios and 9 Master Maps.

To further celebrate the release we will be discounting all Combat Mission games, modules and Packs 50%.

So go grab it and please let us know what you think!

Battle Pack 2 - Utah Beach

YOU MUST HAVE THE v4.05 PATCH INSTALLED FOR THE Pack!!!

Do you have an ETA for Steam users?

Thanks.

Weird, I see the Pack is available on Steam now but the discounts, other than the Pack discount, aren't. Regardless, you can now redeem your Battlefront key on Steam.

Wooo a $1 discount! Lol, I appreciate the sentiment Battlefront. I'll be picking this up this afternoon after I get home.

Don't make me turn it. I'll turn it off if you. Don't make me do it. I have an itchy finger on the trigger. Don't temp me. 🙂 (just kidding)

When I try and install CombatMission-BattleForNormandy-MultiDLCSetup-v4.05.exe say Battle for Normady is not installed, it is installed to the default location and is at CMBN Win v405 Update

Thanks

That sounds like you're using a Matrix installer. It is very different than a Battlefront installer. Have you tried their tech support?

Remind me please, where do we extract the update / patch to?

I've tried a couple of locations, BFN loading page still showing 4.04.

Maybe it's just your wording, but once you extract it from the downloaded file, you then have to run the installer .exe file to apply the patch. It should be able to find your CMBN installation unless you've moved it someplace non-standard. Hope that helps.

I download the files to my Downloads folder. Then I right click on the download and select my unzip/unrar program and have it extract to the file name. This creates a new folder will all of the contents of the download. I then double click the exe file and follow the onscreen instructions. I'm sure that I am doing it the long way but I'm a creature of habit......

@BFCElvis

Hi John

Are V4.04 PBEM‘s playable under 4.05 and do both players need to be on 4.05?

if so, is the migration sequence still:

- start the PBEM und 4.04

- Save the file midturn

- Update to 4.05

- restart the PBEM saved game and complete under 4.05

You should but probably don't have to. If you can, then your sequence is correct.

If you are playing a PBEM++ battle don't even try. It doesn't play nice with saved games.

Ok, thx. I‘ll just give it a try.

We are playing PBEM++ indeed, but started only recently. So, it does not really matter anyway.

I've just looked at the map of the Madeleine scenario showing Utah beach, and it's superb, it's like you're there 🤩 The unobstructed horizon as you look out over the ocean adds to the sense of immersion. Great work, with many hours of gameplay in store 👍

You have no idea the "nearing release" headaches they caused. It's most excellent to hear that the efforts were noticed.
