How Hot is Ukraine Gonna Get?

Two threads indicating one, how vital the region is for the economy of Ukraine, and two, even if part of it is a front line, destroying the dam, essentially will make this "recently annexed" region of Russia economically devastated. Sure, the chance for Ukraine deliberately to have done it is possible, but there is exceedingly little benefit for Russia to destroy the dam unless it understands it has little time left as a annexed region of Russia.

Honestly it is appalling that the dam was even mined and wired for explosives in the first place. The dam, like ZNPP should have been placed into UN oversight and military objects near it, banned from being nearby.

If anyone had any doubts that russia is behind the destruction of Kakhovka Dam:

It was not the only dam they destroyed in the occupied southern regions. There seem to be clear strategy to flood the south to hinder the offensive. Most people have no Idea of the severity of the longterm consequences(past the flooding) for the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam alone. It completly ruins the argricultural economy of the south. This is a complete desaster. I can't find the right words.

This has to be one of the most effective scorched earth strategy in history.

The silence of UN and ICRC is damning. No international help from NGOs at the moment.

There HAS to be a western response.

From 3rd Assault Brigade telegram channel :
"⚡⚡⚡️Freeing our lands and clearing the flanks around Bakhmut!

During the last day, the Third Assault Brigade pushed back the enemy from territories with a volume of 1.8 km along the front line and 1.2 km deep into the front.

As a result of the offensive actions of the 2nd assault battalion, units of the 57th brigade of the Russian Federation and detachments of "storm z" prisoners suffered significant losses: about 30 "two hundredths"; and 40 "three hundred" Russians.
Warehouses with Russian BC, equipment, in particular BBM, tanks and enemy artillery, were also liquidated.

Thus, the enemy's forces were almost completely pushed back beyond the canal, where the positions of the occupiers were located recently.

As always, all the video evidence will be on the Third Assault channel soon.

We are moving forward!"

From Denys Davydov channel :
"
Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an offensive in the Zaporozhye region, - The Washington Post. One of the Ukrainian military said in an interview that our fighters really launched a counter-offensive in the Zaporozhye region, but it is not easy, there are "continuous heavy battles." On the video - the first Ruzzian prisoners."

Ugh, people go to work at UN not to resolve some world problems, it's an international VIP club, where you just chill at the bar all day talking to people from all over the world. There has not been any major war since 60s and no wars of genocide since 40s, that's like 3 generations of UN deputies away. What else is there to do all day for the past so many years?

After so much time of just being a poster organization people who work at UN have zero clue about responsibility and are not competent in resolving major conflicts, they are there to look good and talk good - and I'm not joking here sadly.

M. Lachowski and volunteers note, that Russian grads are heavily and purposfully targeting civilian evacuation points in Kherson. Quite likely it is effect of "delayed" Russian shelling OODA loop since Zhelensky was spotted in the city.

tbf to the UN, the P5 are supposed to be guarantors of things like UN mandated humanitarian and military actions, as Russia is a member of the P5, well….paralysis is the name of the game for Russia.

Not to be fair to the UN - they themselves automatically decided Russia = USSR (which it is and is even more damning to the UN) back in 1991 and gave russians all the same powers and the seat USSR absolutely abused. Because what could possibly go wrong? I guess since Russia now had democratic McDonald's in Moscow and only bombed Moldova right away it was OK.

Furthermore if one of your members supposedly abuses the organization for decades - shouldn't you be doing something about it?

Russian TG reports: "on Orekhov-Tokmak direction our troops are trying to push off enemy infantry from captured by them our forward posiotions. Alas, we have losses, this is naturally for such dense clashes. Artillery of AFU doesn't reduce own intencivity"

Along with this fighters of 3rd brigade say Russians moved reinforcements, which fight back fiercely and because of this our advance slowing down. For today we had some gains, but Russians reject to surrender and no prisoners today.
