Grog gem! US Company Officer's Handbook of the German Army, 31 March 1944

Recommended Posts

The Military Intelligence Division of the War Department originally issued this publication at the RESTRICTED level, but it is now, fortunately for us, UNCLASSIFIED. Organization, tactics, weapons and more are all there, with many TO&Es, wiring diagrams, weapon and equipment breakdowns, drawings, photos, weapon performance tables and much more. Handbook covers everything from squad up through Army.

kevinkin,

April 12, 1987. The info is in a stamped block below the actual title. It starts with "Regraded." It then cites the relevant Regrading authority, in this case the E.O., Executive Order, listed. The rest is who did it and when. Since RESTRICTED was the lowest classification level to begin with, the regrading declassified the doc, which is why it has the impossible to miss UNCLASSIFIED on it now, with the former classification now blacked out.

Gentlemen,

You're welcome. I thought it would be useful to look at the Germans as seen by every Company CO, in terms of core knowledge.

Regards,
