Market Garden????

Recommended Posts

So with how long it is taking to Gustav Line to come out and looking at the time line that battle front published in the CMFI thread....I'm beginning to think that it will be a while before we see Market Garden and the Modern War title to be out in the 1st quarter of 2014? Looking forward to Gustav Line!

Early this year I expressed my expectation (or fear for that matter) that MG wouldn't arrive before the second half of 2013. Some people blamed me for being a little negative, but now I fear that I was too optimistic.

OTOH, maybe BF surprises us with two releases at (nearly) the same time?

I think MG is almost finished but they wait with the announcement until Gustav Line is released.

There may be several reasons:

they do not want to split attention between the two Modules

releasing Gustav Line before announcing MG will increase the chance that people will buy CMFI+Gustav Line to get their hands on German paras earlier

it is to much work to do PR for two titles at the same time

all the beta-testers are still occupied with Gustav Line

they realized they could not release MG without some crucial features so they will wait until 3.0 is released

....

this is just guessing

Our schedule is a bit flexible, but as of now for 2013:

Normandy 2.01 patch

Normandy 1.12 patch

Italy 1.02 patch

Something Nice

CMBN Market Garden

CMEF 1 (1944-1945, starting with Bagration)

CMSF 2 (introduces v3.0)

For 2014:

CM Bulge

CMEF 2 (1943-1944, starting with Kursk)

Various Packs sprinkled in here and there along the way. But it's too difficult to say what and when specifically.

We have no plans on doing a North Africa game at the moment, but I wouldn't rule it happening.

Well, to be honest; if "Something nice" meant Gustav Line they should have called it:

"Something nice FOR THE OWNERS OF CMFI, AND NOT FOR THE DUMB SONS OF B#%CHES THAT ONLY BOUGHT CMBN and/or CMCW!"

So I'm still thinking "something nice" is something to be expected.

Something nice was the Gustav Line.

Still that module when out will convince me to get CMFI..so I'm happy witht hat.

However CMEF and CMSF2 are the ones I really want on my hard drive.

Okay, with a little fudging I've copied Steve's post:

Yes, when I hinted at "something nice" a few weeks ago it was a combo that v2.01 was nearly done and that Gustav Line was about ready to announce. To answer the next question... no, there aren't any more "something nice" things in the works now that you don't already know about. Ah, well, except for one other thing. Something for another day
