jgorski52
What does anyone use jeeps for? They seem to have no practical value.
Fredrock1957
Most of them are loaded with Goodies (Ammo, Zooks, etc) which can be aquired by your units
Vencini
Yes, they give you ammo and jeeps with radio are very helpfull for be in contact with mortars
phil stanbridge
Speaking of that, do you just need an empty jeep to be nearby the mortar squads? Or does it need to be manned?
Mord
Yeah, they've got a lot more practical use than in CMX1...ie: sacrificial recon. Mord.
MG TOW
They are good for drive-byes, especially if you got 3 passengers with SMG's like a scout team firing.
noob
They can tow guns.

Sgt Schultz
Ooooo, I am going to have to try that. Three Kubels with Scout Teams spraying MP40 fire down a street.

Drive-byes are nice, but so too are are drive-buys. The worst of the bunch are the drive-bys. (I have an image of a jeep full of armed-to-the-teeth US paratroopers zooming past a bunch of befuddled landsers, who can only watch as the paratroopers wave farewell...)
JonS
Ooooo, I am going to have to try that. Three Kubels with Scout Teams spraying MP40 fire down a street. Kurt 'Panzer' Meyer tried that against the Canadians in Normandy, on about the 8th of June. It didn't end well for the MP-40 toters
Hessian deserter
I used an MMG Jeep on quick or fast move, to ambush an 88mm 5 man gun crew from their blind side, killing 3 of the gun crew before my jeep reversed direction. The remaining 2 gun crew members could not man and fire the 88 by themselves. This turned out in the long run to be one of those battle changing wego minutes.
Boche
They are good for drive-byes, especially if you got 3 passengers with SMG's like a scout team firing. ive actually managed do do this, having about 2 squads of germans firing at them and the 3 crewmen survived! probably one of the most epic moments ive ever played.

Praetori
What does anyone use jeeps for? They seem to have no practical value. They're great for moving stuff around the map. I was playing a QB the other day in a decently sized village and the Germans broke through on the side. A .30 cal withdrew from their firefight at one end of town to a waiting jeep downstairs. While in transit they loaded up on some more ammo and then set up at a house across town and mowed down the Germans attacking. The same with field guns. Towing them around is just plain awesome and gives you some sorely needed flexibility.

ZPB II
I'd like to add that jeep drivers can be dismounted and put into a useful role, like manning the .50 cal of a halftrack.

I did just that once. Brought some useful firepower back into service. Dismounted drivers can also be drafted as one-man scout teams.
