  1. Not giving up 130000 primary Russians fought on the German side. Novgorod was according one veteran I knew one heck of a friendly city among a few others. You strike me definitely as pro putin in your post. Giving credit when it is not due. Russian Liberation Army - Wikipedia
  2. It is like saying Great Britain won WW2. Russia was just one republic of the USSR aka the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was not Russia. If you read my statement, I said by itself I quoted Russia as one of the contributors.
  3. Russia, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan and all the other Soviet republics beat Germany on the Eastern Front with Lend and Lease from the west. By itself Russia achieved zilch 0.000000000 nothing. Their leader was not even Russian but Georgian.
  4. Actually if you use their games BF is the owner of any scenarios or mods people have created. Technically it may even be illegal to ask for money. I welcome any comments and I am hoping I am actually incorrect.
  5. Something Company HQ's should be allowed to do which we all do anyway. Horizontal sharing of tentative contacts by radio to another Company HQs even if outside their C2. This could be done by adding another Greenbutton Radio Button to the interface. Company Alpha clicks on Company Bravo which adds the radio button on both companies. This enables their subunits to support each other.
  6. Yes, I have seen a few more. The tools are there to be used by the designers.
  7. Inside multi room building I can assure you the units had to be inside the building before they can spot the other side. Inside they spot right across but not diagonally. It is up the scenario designer, it already exist inside the editor.
  8. Friendly unit is inside and spots friendly units outside. The friendly unit outside is unaware of the friendly unit inside. Imo buildings are generic, and the structure has been taken into account. The good thing of playing on Iron you are situational aware. Last picture nothing is selected the player sees every unit.
  9. This is after all a wish list. Communications is easily fixed, suggestion a unit with a radio should be able to pass on their tentative contacts to a unit with a radio which is not in their C2.Just an extra command.
  10. Shoot and scoot from that position. Pause 45 seconds drive to firing position in the last 15 seconds. New turn consider your options which could include reversing.
  11. It is on map missions. I don't see the logic of why we can't do it. I think a unit should spot it but not necessarily the FO. If the FO is available, his shorter call-in times should be made use of. In other words use in game communication only.
  12. If I don't know something I let the TacAi decide. Artillery rounds coming in, I push the evade button for affected units. Not everybody remains cool headed during a crisis.
  13. When you notice spotting rounds, I use the evade button for nearby infantry. The results are very realistic.
  14. If you test the effects of small arms fire in buildings you will discover it is next to zilch. You need HE and infantry in buildings will remain invisible till they open fire. If you bother to test these things. There is nothing to be gained when you add more walls in the game. To make it safe for your attacking infantry you need to breach walls. HE of tanks, artillery or satchel. The difference with modern warfare is 5% attrition vs 30% in WW2. In a WW2 scenario you can afford to do the final assault with infantry.
  15. I watched a seminar from a specialist in urban combat. Just a four men team for a house and they better hide. The moment they give their position away they are dead meat. The game models this very well. However, the AI just let them sit there as sitting ducks. Ambush or quick hit and run raids and IFVs for heavy lifting.
  16. Hard question because Windows no longer support your system. In other words, it may work or may not. It won't be fair blaming CM software if it doesn't.
  17. He remembers British Gunboat Diplomacy worked and tries the same tactic. Just become politically incorrect again folks.
  18. Try to put a mine in a building in the editor. An enemy assault unit hidden inside a building can have the same effect. Three men have 15 hand grenades and at point blank range becomes the primary weapon.
  19. IED Mines are the exception. You just see a whopping big hole in the ground.
  20. With this mob in the Kremlin, I am afraid it will take WW3 to get rid of them.
  21. I agree as @Monty's Mighty Moustachesays but the 76mm when you open up is using the .50 MG the 75mm just use the coaxial.
  22. The mover probably has contact and that makes him shoot first. It works that way with infantry too.
