  1. Drivers can also be pretty versatile. They can act as medic, acquire assets of the vehicle they drive. They can also sit in a command vehicle to give other intel to their formation. The driver of the command vehicle can sit in another vehicle outside their former C2.
  2. Yes horizontal communication shouldn't only depend on visual contact.
  3. Radios should be modelled like they can change channels. PDAs are supposed to keep everybody up to date in a reasonable period.
  4. The F word is the first word one picks up abroad. The related word in Dutch is not a swear word at all. Like Anthony Fokker means actually Anthony the Breeder ( Like a dog breeder.)
  5. The town of 'Vlissingen' is known as Flushing in England. I didn't notice any swearing.
  6. Sherrif of Oosterbeek's railway bridge. The Stug III won't drive under the bridge as plotted but drives over it and starts the chicken dance. Just don't play buggy scenarios. This scenario is also a textbook of how to make a scenario. Is this scenario meant to be played as British Commonwealth? They perform a little lower than expected.
  7. I think it is a little unfair to troll people who have legitimate concerns and are accountable to their constituents. Almost like they want an autocrat in charge.
  8. They do now F*rting in front of POWs is against the Geneva Convention but it is tempting.
  9. Indeed something more goes on behind the scenes. Ukraine pledges sweeping personnel changes as allies jostle over tanks (msn.com) Leos2 have the potential to make some people very rich.
  10. Yep and it needs to upgrade the graphics it is now PNG but CM is still archaic. Also the software, I don't know the foggiest which codes they use and which 3D programs. I just play the game. I would love to buy, click and see a common graphics program. Here in the editor 2D which the program translates into 3 D. It would be lovely to edit in 3D for starters.
  11. They could have a library and suggesting which AFV can be paired with which mod to have a realistic game. Korea for example shouldn't be an issue, it is late WW2 mostly.
  12. Unfortunately there is no shortage of wars post WW2. They could make editing easier for players making more of their own stuff. Editing and modding is more for the specialists
  13. I think it has to do with spotting and satellite communications. There is not so much need to watch the C2 every minute.
  14. Ok as long as we are on the same page. Just tried to help the man.
  15. You can drag waypoints to new positions impose pause orders or change the speed of traveling. Just by highlighting on the waypoint or between two waypoints. If you select Hunt the vehicle will cancels all waypoints upon full contact with the enemy unit. Tbh I find large scenarios unplayable on RT.
  16. True and once vitriol leaves somebody's keyboard you can't put it back. Hard to distinguish fact from fiction.
  17. In the game go to any AFV HQ and double click which selects every vehicle in the formation. Make two or more waypoints which you can highlight to modify and drag anywhere and even plot fire orders. That is how you can change formations. Read up how different nations execute their doctrines. Happy Gaming.
  18. Need to do reading to find the right references and do it manually doing micro management. Which is testing and more testing to find the right solutions. Involves combining fire orders blend with all of the move orders etc. Anything can be solved by just playing the game's scenarios which are more sandbox exercises. Save often so you can go back if something didn't work out.
  19. It seems to me that France and Germany disagree with Ukraine's strategy. That is the Russians use the Donbas as a killing area for the Ukraine forces and they don't care that they get rid of a few divisions of parole candidates aka the Wagner group. Like giving money to a gambler who is losing but asks for more. This war won't stop even if the Ukraine takes the Donbas but I think putins strategy of attrition with low quality troops is working. Strategic objective is to bleed the Ukrainian army. Both France and Germany reached once upon a time Moscow (Germany only the suburbs. A 60 ton MBT may not be the ideal tank (terrain) Ex Soviet MBTs were around 40 Tonnes for a reason
  20. I like him close to the HMGs HQs who often don't have radio. That way they become situational aware to engage enemy from say 700 meters. Scenario 1st mission The Road to Nijmegen the Tripod mounted Browning .30 with the Company HQ his Platoon HQ acting as "spotter'. US C2 is the most efficient in WW2. So the Company HQ can take the platoon's heavy weapons under his wing. US airborne 3 Brownings Bipod mounted one on the Tripod very powerful if you together with the radios.
  21. The solution is simple, they can make their own tanks. Britain is of the hook by supplying 12 tanks that is smart politics. France supplies something which is not a tank at all. (doesn't have a stabilizer) Only Sweden makes a domestic product. If you don't manufacture tanks nobody can accuse you of not supplying them which is smart too.
  22. They may very well already being trained. Like anything else there is a lot more they won't tell us. Maintenance for the Bradley it takes five months to train specialists for this vehicle. Easy enough to drive for the crew they need better trained mechanics unless my guess is the specialists are there.
