  1. Russian Platoon Attack on German Foxholes. The Soviet Forces have a lack of radios. There is only one method and that is their riflemen firing and hoping that nearby support units will spot the enemy too. Mosin-Nagant range 300-350 meters. Difficulty Iron. The Germans must have noticed my maneuver to expose themselves like this. Inside the first 20 seconds rifle fire suppresses. At the end of the turn the Germans start to break and give up their position.
  2. I like AT-Rifles 14.5 mm slug. Here is a decent article Soviet Gun Archives: Infantry vs Tanks (sovietguns.blogspot.com). Recently they had a good look at them. Played with the bore made match-grade ammo and put a scope on it. Here we have the modern sniper rifle. Happy gaming and keep your sense of humor. Sour grapes make bad wine
  3. They are like golfclubs you can use them for golf but also for home defense. Taking out trucks, (trucks are mobile ammo dumps). Suppressing AT-Guns a lucky shot on a Tiger1 are my recent positive experiences with this weapon.
  4. Soviet Snipers are worth their weight in gold in F&R. I worked out tactics for them. It seems to work they also make nearby armored units spot a lot better. Use them or you lose them. I very much respect the German MG42 once spotted they become a priority target. Perfect hard cover and concealment. Didn't identify an MG on this unit. TacAI did its thing. Will he make it to the foxhole? Lend & Lease Valentine they don't have an MG so innovated with a 6pounder HE.
  5. I would select the Easy Eight 76 mm Sherman. TBH, I don't know what I can buy for 500 pt. I rate it the highest as I can use it as a FiST vehicle in WW2 and the gun is capable of taking out any German vehicle apart from the front. It is mobile and you lose the tank but get out of it shaken.
  6. You share their C2 by direct communication. It is not hard. To share a huge game each player commands a company for example. Most computers can't handle a 4km X 8km urban map.
  7. He was on an elevated position Hill 400 Scenario Assault.
  8. If you have Windows use the XBox Gamebar. Press Windows +G to access it. To capture in the game Widows+Alt+Printscr. In my photo editor I press Windows + G to see all my captures.
  9. Use them! Their HQ can call in mortar fire on spotted PAK 75 for example and an AT Rifle is more than capable of penetrating the gun shield. That was the tactical purpose I intended but then two Tiger1's turned up. One got spooked by the AT Rifle then against three T34/85 they came out second best. The most useful guy on a battlefield is the one with binoculars a map who can call in the arty. Which an AT Rifle team can do.
  10. If you swim alone with a shark nearby it could be dangerous. If you're in the water among another one hundred people, the odds are 1%.
  11. Ever tried your AT Rifles you may be surprised. Quantity is a quality in its own right. Had them only in a spotting position. The Tiger backed off something traumatic happened inside.
  12. Quantity is a quality in its own right. Sherman 76 mm and T34/85 in the latter part of WW2. Single German Cat? attack it with a platoon. Against the AI it is easy, had three T34/85 against two Tiger1 in a recent game. Lost one T34 and the AI lost the two Tigers. Against a human player it would be different.
  13. Don't ask me how the Soviets did this. But infantry like a pawn in chess can capture anything if they are on the adjacent tile.
  14. I had an Acer 8GB Ram and installed everything on a Samsung SSD Drive it played Engine 3 OK. Once on my holiday destination I connected the laptop with an HDMI Cable to an 84 cm TV. No problems I think it would play engine 4 too but now restricted because of Covid.
  15. I remember an other issue @G. Smiley had I think this solution. 3 Ways to Fix "macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware" – Gadgets To Use
  16. Which model was it? The lower half of the mantlet had a shottrap. The model G eliminated this.
  17. A pleasure I did something similar. It went to my junk folder. ☺
  18. I don't really care, you overrate the American attitude. World War2 Allied with Ho Chi Minh Cold War enemy with Ho Chi Minh friends with Japan. Now you deal with people who once have enemies they have them for the next thousand years. Pro tip? You? Don't make me laugh. Kind regards. My Pro Tip stay on topic it is WITE-2 it means War In The East 2 it is not my thread and neither it is yours. We are a War-Gaming Community not a political one.
  19. I had the 'If only' moment. 2men scout-teams if they can't go somewhere nobody can. For me 'Fast' means ASAP and river crossings are one of them. Snorkeling you can do. TBH, I don't see the need, I made him move on fast after a 45 sec pause. He made it and I became complacent and had 3 casualties.
  20. Check your E-Mail you nominated when you placed your order. You must click it in the mail. Could be in the Junk Folder. Regards from Perth.
  21. Go to the Museum in Bandung Indonesia it is the site of the original POW camp. Not only Aussie prisoners all nationalities were there. Burma-Thailand Railway Australian prisoners of war on Java under Dunlop's command were transferred later that year to Singapore. Here Dunlop clashed with Lt Colonel Galleghan (commander of the 8th Australian Division troops in Changi) over Dunlop's authority as a non-combatant commander. On 20 January 1943 he left Singapore for Thailand in charge of "Dunlop Force" to work on the Burma-Thailand railway. He remained there until the war ended, labouring tirelessly to save wounded, sick and malnourished men. Many times he put his own life at risk as he stood up to the brutality of his Japanese captors. Though not the only medical officer to act in this selfless way, his name was to become a legend among Australian prisoners of war and an inspiration for their own survival. Throughout his captivity and at great personal risk Dunlop recorded his experiences in his diaries. On 27 September 1945 Dunlop was appointed Lt Colonel. Returning to Australia in October 1945 he was demobilised on 1 February 1946, transferring to the Reserve List of Officers with the rank of Honorary Colonel. Before demobilisation he had been working (since 10 December 1945) with Brigadier Blackburn at Army Headquarters as Assistant Director of Medical Services to Blackforce. Here his work was driven by a desire to obtain a level of justice for former prisoners of war. Ref: Biographical note: Sir (Ernest) Edward "Weary" Dunlop | Australian War Memorial (awm.gov.au)
