  1. To keep it realistic, get a scout go from A-B and look at the route he takes. We would assume that maps would be available to the troops. Pathfinding in the game works.
  2. There are four movies in this series and this is the first one.
  3. Better give a screenshot. Plenty of possibilities, small arms are ineffective against troops under cover in a building. Is the first one I think off. You need some HE to go off inside a building.
  4. No need to go slow the engine will adjust. Moving speeds are for tactics only.
  5. Russian infantry tactics get inside 100mtrs ASAP. The Germans are no match against a dedicated Russian assault. Attack & Assault for me Attack is the onset, and the Assault is the conclusion. Seizing a farm complex intel a contact icon. Attack with hand grenades. Split an assault-team from a squad. They will use grenades during the assault drill. Next to the building and plot a LOF inside. Secure the building. Note their squad gave covering firing at the upper floor. Sometimes the ground floor is the fallback position of the defender.
  6. My 2 Bobs worth. It had a nice gun, would be more useful for defending Berlin than attacking Moscow. Getting from A to B is the problem for the German Armor too unreliable and the fact European bridges couldn't handle 70-ton monsters.
  7. I think it has to do with the tiles, 155 mm will destroy units but doesn't damage the tiles. Then again on other areas they leave a crater behind. I played Seven Winds and planned to make a route for my armor. I breached the hedgerow, but the armor still couldn't use the gap. It was because the tile was heavy forest. I think it is something similar. Artillery doesn't clear mines either as far as I can tell which is hard to accept if there is a direct hit.
  8. Lots of players are overlooking this. I just went to FB and to the scenario where I used this tactic successfully. This elevation is higher than the unit. His HQ has an LOS and I wonder or there is a correlation. I hardly ever use the 60mm indirectly, the official call for indirect fire sounds silly if his HQ is standing next to him. The FO makes sense too he has a map and doesn't need to see his area target. There are more generic issues at play here, I think.
  9. The underrated US 60 mm mortar. It lets you plot direct fire at places where you don't have an LOS. Most of the time you don't need to call an indirect fire mission. The POV
  10. You can plot indirectly an LOF with the 60mm even if you have no LOS. Without calling for indirect fire. POV
  11. Yes and no plotting apart from entering the house. I like how it handles infantry in the game.
  12. 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Half a Soviet squad is equipped with submachine guns for this cartridge. Inside 100 meters Soviet squads quickly gain fire superiority over German Squads. Inside a forest or city fighting take them on. Checked the tables it packs more punch than the 9x19mm of the German weapon.
  13. The 'Briefing' maybe an exercise in creative writing. Your situation see how you must get your victory points and how much time you have. It is not rocket science.
  14. That is because the author can't possibly know which units the player will pick.
  15. Check this, also Star Media. MARSHAL ZHUKOV | Episode 1 | Russian war drama | english subtitles - YouTube
  16. Infantry, are the eyes of any formation through the C2 the armor will share their intel. Once you know the location of the enemy armor without him knowing yours you are halfway there. I have most games apart from BI, BS and CW. Let me know how you organize your C2 it is the start of every game I play. Played it since beyond overlord forgot the year, play H&H on Hotseat preferably.
  17. What???? Better don't suggest that in an RSL Club. Just standard British is better TBH.
  18. Attacker doesn't get any points for killing the defender but must take objectives. The defender gets his points by killing attackers and bonus points by the egress to a final defensive position with a morale of OK and cautious. No experience of scenario design on the level of you guys but was thinking along these lines.
  19. Who cares it beats M24 Chaffees as M4 Shermans and M47's as Tigers.
