  1. It would be part of the Battle for Normandy when the Arnhem Campaign ended. I watched Band of Brothers and he was incredibly lucky. It would have taken only one SS trooper who kept his wits to take him out.
  2. Link to the 'Operations Room'. https://www.youtube.com/c/TheOperationsRoom/videos
  3. Example of a scenario a talented person could be inspired.
  4. Little like a shotgun close you have a pattern over a distance it spreads.
  5. Consider taking your objectives and attack easier enemy units. If you get them to surrender it solves the problem of strongpoints.
  6. Own the game for more than ten years have a Steam account no reviews allowed. It means they want people to advertise probably. I see too many crashes with the Steam version and other problems.
  7. First you need to discuss which game you talk about. A rookie FO in RT with a battery of Katyushas is different than an Elite FO in SF2 with a battery of mobile 155mm's. I play those two as follows by following tips. The FO in RT blast away for obscuration mostly in the beginning of a scenario. The Elite FO is different following my tip he selects the 155mm on Harass for a long duration. During a battle he picks priority targets and targets of opportunity. I understand an FO uses a map grid for references, landmarks or his own position. Here is a link for you to watch.
  8. A new sound contact I think they should fade away quicker they clutter the GUI next to no time.
  9. Basically area fire and it comes down to logistics. I think mathematically it is rare to hit anything firing at unspotted units. I unloaded Katyushas Rockets 32 in an area which I knew enemy troopers were in a foxhole position. Result nil it pays to use scenarios and campaign for testing after you play them. WW2 with semi trained conscripts you have cannon fodder to find enemy positions. In modern warfare technology and get used to the idea a single trooper maybe more valuable than a MBT.
  10. Yom Kippur War introduced the world to the Sagger (Media) and the M60 and Centurion became obsolete overnight. Yes HEAT ruled for a while. So they needed a better tank. Good thing they made one, it makes a good topic on social media which didn't exist at the time.
  11. Thank you very much, I looked also at the lower caliber rounds. We need an improved manual.
  12. If you bypass the C2 structure but to check the sound near your units is more realistic.
  13. HEAB Meanings | What Does HEAB Stand For? (allacronyms.com)
  14. They need to do a little innovation. The Germans had tank-hunting teams. They had something like a couple of AT mines on top of a board. Two ropes which were attached on each end. Two infantry men positioned in two opposed foxholes. Once a mammoth tank approached (KV1 or KV2?) they pulled the AT mines underneath the tracks. It was a WW2 IED of some description?
  15. That is why we have camera position one. You can hear where the noise comes from by getting to the POV position. If the unit can hear it he can shoot at it.
  16. I get a result for High Explosive Air Burst. I think this is what they meant. XM913 chain gun - Wikipedia
  17. They go by the combat stress level pyramid. +2 is not affected as -2 is. The AI got an IQ of 0.00000000000001 % so to expect human behaviors is a tat unrealistic. Only with H&H we can avoid the worst of this.
  18. I agree if used in a realistic fashion like a rolling barrage. The FO should be able to have an LOS somewhere in the proximity.
  19. Well put and TBH people do the game a disservice and themselves a disservice. TRP's encourages gamey play like this. FO hiding in the cellar and letting essentially a conscript doing the spotting without any C2 connection. Using and respecting the C2 makes it much more enjoyable.
  20. Reason I play on Iron, if a unit can see a friendly unit who is shooting at a target he can shoot at it too. Easy to see it before the command phase and during the replay. No5 It is called recon by fire. Legitimate tactic.
