Aye, first 8 months would be a good tight window. Lots of unique factions, too. Not just NK and US, but also PLA, GB, Canada, Australia, etc. Lots of room for DLC. Maybe winter stuff for 1951?

Special meaning? Check back in 2020. Go right a head - see ya in a few years
*Quality* has a special place in this company. They like to make sure things are right. And before you ramp up the sarcasm that includes fixing their own mistakes. What would the point in throwing a "fix" out there for you to test?

No. Target light for infantry mean stick to small arms and MGs. So, no rifle grenades or RPGs. The short answer is there is no way to pick specific weapons to fire or not fire. You can influence it by using no target (individual soldiers pick their targets and their weapon), target light (means prioritize a particular target using small arms) and target (which means prioritize a particular target using whatever you have). You can also use a covered arc to restrict fire to inside an area (same rules as having no target command but inside the restricted area) or armour cover arc which adds just a further restriction to fire on armoured targets and ignore infantry in side the restricted area.

I am excited about the new Battletech releases, glad they're bringing mechs back. Actually, my avatar is the EU mech from Battlefield 2142. Which leads me to believe that CM: BF2142 is next, as the sequel to Black Sea.
Or as it will be called: CM: BF1942.
Sorry, I've been having nightmares about EA taking over Battlefront. I cannot look at my avatar, anymore.

'nam would be a very good one, too. I can imagine it'd be great if they also got gun boats working, too. French and Australian DLC. Only problem I can foresee is that the foliage wouldn't be too kind to the CM2 engine.
They /have/ to nail the music, though.

Some views from my remodelled version of 'QB Afghan M-R sno_21', the big map with the highway and the river valley:
The village has moved slightly.....As seen here from the mine across the valley:

It's small, but it's quite tightly packed in there:

And they have some lovely gardens:

On the flat ground by the river (where the village used to be) we now have several farming compounds (still one more to build in this area on the left) and associated fields and some warehousing/industrial buildings (the new hill village is just visible top left):

The current baldness of the valley on the right is a bit embarrassing (I took out all the original foliage & almost all of the flavour objects), but those familiar with the original may note that the contours are subtly different, allowing some slightly more interesting routing for small infantry units.
All subject to change as constant tweaking and revision takes place across the whole map.....Slow process, but it makes a pleasant change from the claustrophobic streets of Mosul.
Comments from anyone who's been to Afghanistan would be very welcome, I'm basing my work on images from the Korengal Valley.

I think it's named for the sound it makes as its tracks crush the bodies of the aliens (or infidels - take your pick):  "Khorramshahr".

While I do not completely agree with the guy, but he does bring up some good points. Was oil what broke the Tiger's back? I doubt it. However, it did force the Germans to spend time and resources experimenting with alternative fuels, such as wood gas. This produced some funky modifications we probably won't see in CM:

Back on topic. Why did the Germans lose the war? Potentially infinite reasons. However, I think many people overlook the diplomatic work of the Allies. The Germans had dubious alliances with Japan and Italy that only got them into their wars. They tried to not share technology with their eastern European allies and generally had limited support. Yet, the Allies managed to bring men from Brazil to India, train, equip them and put them on the front line. They had, also, great success dissuading  Spain from getting involved and persuading the Italian King to put Mussolini behind bars.
While the German hegemony spanned from the Atlantic to Moscow, from the Arctic to Africa -- they could only rely on themselves. They either could not, or did not want to, raise many troops form their vast occupied territories both in the West and East. For some reason, they had issues coordinating with the Romanians, Italians and Vichy France and generally relegated all foreign forces to rear-echelon work. As soon push came to shove, their allies turned on them. I do not think it is necessary to mention the debacles that were Yugoslavia and Belarus.
Why were the Germans not popular on the world stage? Was it too much of the stick, and too little of the carrot? Was it the lend-lease food and Hollywood? That's a discussion for a different thread.

DerKommissar got a reaction from Badger73 in Fury Movie Discussion.
The movie just did not work for me. Banal rants about the human condition and the endless French civilian scene, felt like they were there to fill a quota. I was distracted by Brad Pitt's funny accent and the Transformer's kid's mustache. Wasn't a huge fan of the shots, either. Locations looked all the same and everything seemed to be purposefully desaturated. I appreciated the tanks but I think this movie over-thought its own premise.
I feel like this movie was a compromise designed for no-one but everyone. Not too silly to be Kelly's Heroes. Not too existentialist to be Full Metal Jacket. Not too historical to be A Bridge Too Far. Not too dramatic to be Das Boot. Usually movies of these genres rely on creative writing, directing and acting to make the viewer care, and identify with, the crew. This movie relied on star power and tank-hype (props to Bovington, though).
Mediocre film in all sense of the word. Not the worst thing you can see in the cinemas, and certainly not the best. I saw it way back when and haven't felt a need to rewatch it. Hollywood can do better, see Hacksaw Ridge (not a fan of Dunkirk, though).
